ABOUT TIME!!!!
I was wondering why it wasn't shown in HD yet. Glad to see that it is going to be on in HD, since it is the best late night show on TV, IMO.

And in comparison, The Tonight Show began broadcasting in HD over ten years ago.
Then again, CBS was always behind the times when it came to showing football in HD, so I'm not surprised. That said, better (very, very) late than never. I actually don't mind Fallon, but Ferguson's minimalist set is a nice throwback.

Didn't Letterman, who owns Craig's show BTW,go HD around the same time as The Tonight Show give or take some months?

On April 26, 1999, the show started broadcasting in 1080i HDTV, becoming the first American nightly talk show to be shot in that format.
The show began broadcasting in high definition on August 29, 2005

Why would the network send out dual feeds? It should be up to the local station to downconvert and center cut the feed if they want to broadcast the program in SD (which seems like an odd thing to want to do, if an HD feed is available).

Did they get rid of the part that announces the guests (the pictures after the theme song)? I don't recall seeing it for this episode. Aside from that, it was a great show. I'd love to see more musical opening numbers though.

He mentioned they were having issues getting the new graphics machine to work. (Or, as Craig put it, “No one knows how to use the new, HD graphics machine.”) Maybe that’s why they didn’t have the guest names and pictures?
