Just was the latest Monk, at the end several hints were dropped at what could be happening at the end of the series.

1. Monk becomes true best friends with a man from Africa during the ep.
2. He is told by his new best friend that "his turn is next to find out who killed his wife".
3. And his new friend predicts "That Mr. Monk will visit him in Africa".

I hope at the end of the series, Monk finds Trudy's killer and then flies off to Africa to visit his Best Friend.

Since its the last season I bet he does find out who killed Trudy. I doubt he goes to Africa though.

Ummmmm it's not exactly a well kept secret. That is exactly how USA is promoting the final season.

In other future news that isn't being advertised:

They've been promoting that too in all the previews that include mentions of guest stars.

He'd damn site better. Everything up until now would have been pretty much pointless if they leave it open-ended.

And for the record, Friday's episode was pretty damn good.

There is little doubt to how the show is going to end...but what happens after that ending is up for grabs.

The one where he went to Mexico might have been the best of the series. Africa is like Mexico except with guns, zoo animals, and an even higher STD rate. Hilarity would be sure to ensue!
