After the eighth season or so, Homer just became irritating and one-dimentional. George Costanza just had a slight dip in the final season, but otherwise he was great the entire series.

Two very worth finalists. Both are characters that I watch on TV at least daily. I love George Costanza, but Homer Simpson is in a league of his own.
I don't see why people are disappointed that an animated character might win the Tournament. Homer deserves to win just as much as any other character I saw through the rounds.

I had to think of the funniest moment for both...IMO
Homer won because he couldn't get all he could eat at a resturant...so to get rid of the negative publicity the owner put Homer in the front window as a tourist attraction but it was more like a freak show...where he ate like a pig

If I recall correctly, Homer Simpson wasn't even close to being the most nominated character for this tournament. I think only a dozen or so folks put him in their top 10! Makes these results seem a little fishy. I demand a recount!
