Entourage - "Fore!" - 8/09/09

"Fore!"
Spoiler:
At a charity golf tournament, Vince and Drama up the stakes with teammates Mark Wahlberg and Tom Brady. Having fielded an awkward situation with Sloan, Eric gets an unexpected job offer. After refusing to break the "guy code," Ari finds himself in the doghouse with Mrs. Ari...and Jeffrey Tambor.

Hilarious.

But this had to be the shortest episode in series history.

Pretty fun episode. Can't remember the last time there was no real "B" story line going on -- I liked keeping everything so focused. As a long-time Tom Brady hater, I must say he was really great for a non-actor. That guy just oozes charisma, the fucker.

after they showed what happened last week and the opening credits, i think the show was about 20 minutes long.

yep. very short. but a good ep nonetheless. I hope Ashley is gone soon though. I've had more than enough of her.

As a native Pats fan, I thought this episode was great. Turtle definitely had the best laughs.

Was Turtle a Giants fan or Jets fan? I thought he was a Giants fan, which made me wonder why he had a bug up his ass about Brady. Otherwise, fun episode.

Turtle was great but I think Jeffrey Tambour's KIDS stole the episode. "This is fucking boring!"

Best episode in a few seasons. Drama's mangling of the driver was classic.

Loved Drama's outfit!

Mark Whalburg (sp?) had good chemistry with the cast - he came out firing.

I agree that there is realy no Giant / Patriot rivalry... now if Tony Romo was there - I could understand. And the Giants beat the Pats in the Superbowl (so I don't get the whole hatred thing)

Turtle is obiously a Giants fan, evidenced to his remark to Brady that his blue eyes would go well with a blue Giants uniform.

(ps. What do Tom Brady and the circus have in common? Two more rings than either of the Manning brothers.)

Also he had Giants stuff on his clubs.

This episode was OK but this season as a while has been a big dud. I am not one of the people who have criticized the show endlessly either - I've pretty much liked the whole series up to this. I can't believe they're dragging this Sloan shit out this long. I feel like I'm the one stuck in a tedious relationship, not E. Blah.

Fun episode, except that the stuff with Ari and Jeffrey Tambor was boring as hell. Still, it was good to see everybody all at one place. Eric is once again being sort of stupid...despite him thinking Sloane is playing games, she did present him with a good opportunity. Now that Ashley recommends he reconsider, he will. And all that "I'll stay if you want me to say that you want to stay" from the opening scene...come on E, make a choice for once.

This episode was too short I think Tambor was funny and the Brady stuff was funny.

Re: Entourage - "Fore!" - 8/09/09

Great episode! Now that's the Entourage I know

Johnny Drama getting the bulk of screentime, Turtle being a smart ass, "I am going to tell Tom Brady he sucks balls....twice!" and even the E love triangle was somewhat interesting. And of course Ari steals every scene, "Hey lets guess who's the ugliest of that foursome." While he points to Johnny Drama!

Tom Brady has 3 SB rings, is the best QB in the NFL, has a model wife, and he is a nice guy too? Not fair!!!!

Yep, I thought this was a great episode as well. It's great to see them show some focus. Just like the first season when they didn't feel the need to cram five different plots into every episode.

I was waiting for Tom Brady to say he nailed Jamie-Lynn

Tambor and his sons were pretty funny

I don't know, I'm not enjoying this season any less than previous ones. Dragging out the Sloan shit? It's only been a few episodes, and really they're building up his new relationship so that when the confrontation finally comes with Sloan, there are stakes and there is something to lose. I think they're handling it nicely.

That's the point! That "I'll stay if you want..." scene was a really nice way to show what's going on in that relationship. I've been there (I was the "Ashley" in that situation, and it really sucked). E is dragging and not really thinking about where he is and what he's doing.. which is great, for now, it'll just ratchet up the stakes and drama when he is forced to make a choice or one is made for him. I'm looking forward to seeing where this season goes.

Nothing wrong with leaving the audience hanging a little, wanting more.

Re: Entourage - "Fore!" - 8/09/09

Man that episode sucked balls! (Just like Tom Brady).

By reading all the comments so far, it's clearly the most overrated episode of the season (just like Tom Brady being the most overrated player in the NFL) :P

Brady looked so wooden and constipated, one of the worst cameos of the series so far.
And turtle pussied out. Fuck Tom Brady. You suck balls.

--

So how long is this Sloan-E bs gonna go for? Clearly she loves him and wants to mold him into something else. And he clearly loves her too. Get them back together already so they can split up and be done with it.
Even the Ari or Drama stuff sucked this week. Drama was great as always, but couldn't salvage this train wreck.

This was the funniest episode of the season. Felt like an Apatow movie with them just cursing to be funnny. Loved it.

But the Sloan stuff reaches back to the last season. He's been on and off with her for a while. It's just very tiresome - shit or get off the pot.

Ah, I didn't think of it like that, I can see that now. But I do think it's also representative of E's indecisiveness in a lot of parts of his life...even with Sloane he would do that sort of thing.

I swear I said "Giselle Cooks?!" at the same time Turtle does.

F'in Tom Brady. IS he the luckiest guy in the world or what.
