Labor Pains -- July 19th

I am a huge fan of Lindsay Lohan and I think she rocked out her role as Cady in Mean Girls. I will definitely be checking out her new movie, Labor Pains which is premiering on July 19th on ABC Family. The movie has a funny premise when Lohan's character fakes being pregnant just so she won't lose her job. The cast is pretty impressive too, with Cheryl Hines, Chris Parnell, Janeane Garofalo and Aaron Yoo. Seems worth checking out to me!

Haha, so you aren’t a huge LiLo fan, I presume? To each their own! Like most people in here, I’m a movie/TV junkie and I happen to work in marketing (I think I’ve mentioned that before…). My professional and personal hobbies constantly collide, which is fun for me! Anyway, this is the stuff my life revolves around, so I talk about it here, obvi. Hope I didn’t offend, but I think we might just have different tastes in entertainment There’s gotta be someone else out there who wants to see Labor Pains too though, right?!

You come off more as someone who is pushing ABC Family stuff than just a fan of their stuff. This movie looks horrific...but I'll be tuning in to see this trainwreck. The DVD/Blu-ray comes out 2 weeks after the release as well.

As a pregnant woman who was recently laid off from her job of 10 years, I wish the plot of this movie was a tad more realistic.

Well, you must not be as talented and good looking as LiLo!

No.

However, feel free to jam the next crappy ABC Family project down our throats.

I think ABC Family needs to change their name. A lot of their shows now that cater towards the older high school crowd isn't something I think families would be able to watch together.

I watched half of it last night- will get to the end tonight, hopefully.

Can you answer something about the movie from your copy? I don't think this will spoil anything, so:

The TV version had a real strange jump in the childbirth class scene. It pretty much went right from the teacher asking for a volunteer to help her to her thanking him. Was there something cut there? Maybe them contorting into some odd positions?

Good Lord -- how has LiLo sunk when she has to hire shills to flog her latest crapfest on TVTalk!

Yes. The teacher pretty much makes the guy do her doggy-style while she finishes off with what appears to be an orgasm. I kid you not.

You should watch the cast interviews with her...

She seems like she does not want to be there "yeah, umm, its really fun....yeah, umm....its about a girl who, umm...ummm". I was embarrassed for her.

Oh, it gets better than that. I read in last week's US Weekly that she passed up a role in HANGOVER because she didn't think the script had potential (or some stupid ass reason like that.)

She passed up HANGOVER and accepted a role in LABOR PAINS instead.

If I was her manager, I would dump her.
