This show may have gone down the crapper but they definitely know how to cast the hot women on the show. That Mexican step daughter Shane saved from getting gang raped is

Anyone know the actress name?

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

An interesting ending to the worst season yet. It was quite a dull season finale. I was thinking half way through, "something crazy has to happen," and it did, to say the least. This show has been a complete disappointment since the mexican politician was introduced. It has gone from funny to weird and nonsensical. I hope the writers get their shit together to stop the bleeding and make this show a comedy again!

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

The writers for The Jerry Springer Show have more talent than whoever is writing this shit. They should all be fired and never given work again. Between Weeds and Heroes, it seems like some of the writers never returned after the strike.

I enjoyed rewinding that ending bit a few times. I think it's the way the body snaps in supposed recoil and then into the pool when the camera is pointed, otherwise it'd fall to the left and out of the frame. Fun stuff, though.

Good ending. Glad to see the show might actually return to its roots with Celia & Co. I'm glad Pillar is dead. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. I used to like Shane and hate Silas; now it is the other way around. Silas is actually responsible and Shane is just too weird.

That ending caught me by surprised. Shane's becoming my favorite character, especially with last week's bit with the knife.

Shane is a psychopath. Love it. I really think this series ends next year. My prediction is that Nancy steal Cecilias "team" to restart her pot business, Agrestic is rebuilt and the Botwins move back there. End series.

I often find it funny when two people are talking (like with Nancy and Pillar) and neither of them even notice someone is walking up to them.

Great so next season we get to see a young kid killer and the rest of his messed up family sink farther into the abyss.
This show isn't even fun anymore.

I can't even see myself laughing if I was smoking while watching. In fact, it would probably only ruin my high.

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

I still like the show, actually. Season three was pure, liquid dog shit. I watched it again last week while waiting for the weekend and it was far worse than I even remembered it (and I hated it back then). The show has been okay for season four and five though, in my opinion. Since I had a month without new episodes I was mad speculating, I figured a major character would be killed because it's the trendy or the progressive thing to do but damn did the actual ending surprise me.

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

Finally caught this on my DVR the other night. Mediocre ending to a lame season, although I will admit that I enjoyed the final "shot". I'll likely tune in next season, which should be the last, just to see where things finally end up.

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

sorry to ressurect this thread.

I cant believe it took me this long to get into the show. I just flew through all 5 seasons in 4 days. I'm hooked on the show now, but will admit this season was the weakest.

The ending of the finale w/ shane was sick! I was expecting either Esteban or cesar to kill pillar, not shane. Next season should be interesting now w/ Celia and her own company.

Did they ever explain what happen to Conrad after season 3?

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

Just finished Season 5 and the show has gone from great in Season 2, to a steady decline where I am checking out my watch during the episodes now.

In hindsight, Season 5 should have been its last season and it could have built up to a series finale and we could all have said it had a great run. From what you guys have told me, Season 6-8 don't get any better, so I am wondering where they can go at this point for 3 more seasons???

I think the biggest problem with the show is it lost all motivations for each character, as they are just going through the motions at this point. The only likeable character is Silas, as he is the only who seems to question the big picture of what they are doing, as that is the real point of the show? What are we doing, and is it best for the family?

Even though I really don't give a shit anymore, like all shows I watch, I think I am going to finish it to the series finale since I invested so much time in these characters.

I am tempted to skip season 6 & 7 and just watch 8 just to get to the series finale, cause I am always curious to see how they end these type of shows.

Without giving any spoilers, is the Series Finale any good?

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

I thought it did well to wrap up the show but I don't think it worked well as a finale to the season; if that makes sense.

I liked the last scene, but the actual episode was so-so.

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

I don't mind giving you spoilers to save you some time.

Spoiler:
The show never gets better after they leave CA. If I recall right, they all end up in NYC. After getting out of prison and continuing to be a criminal, Nancy gets shot in the head by Scottson's emo son. The last half of the last season has Nancy making a better life for herself and trying to be a good person.

I binged on this show a year or so ago. The last few seasons were such a chore. It went from so good to so tedious so fast.

I think Scottson's downplayed death was one of those great TV moments. Probably the best moment in the series.

Re: Weeds - Season 5 Thread

I dropped the show around season 6, or earlier season 7, and then watched the series finale. My wife wanted to kill me, she continued watching, because I was asking all these questions.

But yeah, you won't miss anything if you skip to the finale.
