Superstars on ABC
Anybody watch this tonight?
Thought it was kind of cheesy, but then again so was the Wide World of Sports version in the 80s. Still, I remember it fondly.
Glad to see Joanna and Owens leave first. As unsympathetic as they portrayed Krupa it's still really hard to feel sorry for TO, and most of the stuff she said was true anyway.
Also, that's the first I've seen of Estella Warren since the Cooler. Talk about an "it girl" that went nowhere. While it would be unfair and inaccurate to say she got fat, she's certainly not the hard body anymore.

I watched it. It was weird since I expected TO to be a jerk based on the promos, but instead it was Krupa that was a bitch and TO being a good sport about it. At least she's hot.

I thought it was pretty dull. I had no idea who most of those "celebrities" were.
I think it would be more entertaining if they had celebs do the Wipeout course.

Man, Krupa was a bitch. TO was a good sport. I would have been more pissed off with Leslie, who actually ran the course in the wrong direction at one point.
The thing that I remember about Estella Warren will always be that Anthony Anderson saying that she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag after being in Kangaroo Jack with her. I mean, if he didn't think her acting chops were enough for Kangaroo Jack, what else can you say?

She's definitely put on some pounds.
With Joanna's elimination, now Ali Landry is the only eye candy left.

The teams should all be male athletes and female hotties. Or go back to the original Superstars concept from the 70s, although that would be difficult to do with current sports contracts.

I sort of dug it. I like that aside from sideline/post-challenge drama, it stuck to the competition and isn't all about the celebs living together and getting on each other's nerves. I also like the elements of strategy in the bike competition. It makes things more interesting. It's not outstanding, but it's a decent summer show.

Finally, not that I REALLY care, but when did Dan Cortese's last name go from sounding like "Cortez" to rhyming with Scorcese?

Well, he did have a bit of a tantrum after the Kayak run off, and he refused to talk to the "reporter" so we could get his thoughts. I think that was part of what Joanna was referencing when she called him out at the end.

I was shocked to see her look like this.
How old is she now?

I got around to watching this off the DVR. Got thru about half of it and realized that I didn't know who most of the people were nor did I care about any of them.
1/2 an episode and out.

at TO and Krupa getting to come back. I'm not complaining - we got to see Joanna soaking wet.
