Anybody hear them talking about this again on Stern today?
Clearly Howard, Robin etc. are embarrassed by the whole thing and were only being supportive yesterday cause they feel they're dealing with a mess of a guy who might do something stupid if he gets overly depressed about it.
Today it sounded like they were doing an intervention practically.
I think Artie should take a break from the show and his book tour etc. Clearly he's just trying to chase down every penny hoping to makeup for something eating him up inside. Also, he's quickly growing bigger then the show in his opinion.

I finally saw the second half of this show. What a trainwreck of a show. I have never seen a worse segment in my life. That "Buddy" Selig joke was the most painful thing I've ever seen. Anyone who thought that was fun/cool to put on HBO should be fired.

I watched it and I don't understand what all the excitement is about. Isn't this the same network that airs 2 woman ramming themselves w/a 2-headed dildo (Real Sex)? Isn't this the same network that airs every explicit detail about random people off the street's sex life (Taxi Cab Confessions)?
The only train wreck was the show up until Artie arrived.

I always think artie is funny, but initially i thought that maybe it was a little mean because Joe buck wasn't expecting it, but now that buck has said that he told artie to come after him during the interview and mix it up, but thought artie knew not to be that vulgar...i think that HBO and JOe BUck are idots for not knowing what would happen...I just wish artie would have fake mooned him at the end...

They knew. They chose to ignore it. If Artie wasn't on the show no one would be talking about Joe Assclown Live. He wanted ratings and he wanted his show to make the rounds on E!, he succeeded and now people may tune into his show next week.

I've always thought Artie was a mess. Remember when he came close to a breakdown and almost quit Stern because he thought that awful movie Beer League was going to be his big break? Moron.

Lang was the only thing good about this show.
He was funny.
Also this whole thing was no big deal, Artie was just ripping on Joe Buck.
NOthing any different then what guys say to each other when they're ripping each other.

And I don't understand all the complaints that Artie took over the segment and wouldn't stop talking. Buck repeatedly went back to Artie, either talking to him directly or taking a jab at him. It seems a lot of people here fell for the fabricated hype and didn't actually pay attention. And whoever said that Howard & co. were clearly embarrassed, must have been listening to the show with their biased dial turned all the way up. In no way did they act or say they were embarrassed. Howard clearly said that Artie was funny and the only interesting thing about the show.

Was is it about the bullshit "sanctity of sports" that sends closeted jocks into a frenzy? This show was absolutely GOD-AWFUL. There was nothing interesting, entertaining, informative, or even REMOTELY redeeming about this show until Artie shook things up a bit. Otherwise, JOE BUCK LIVE was the living definition of coma-inducing.
