The hardest ones for me was Oscar vs. T-Bag and Lowell vs. Doug Wilson.... Oscar is classic but T-Bag may well be one of my favourite TV bad guy's ever... Lowell was consistently hilarious on Wings but Doug steals every scene he's in...

Sideshow Bob - Cape Feare is one of the best Simpsons episodes. I've never seen Magnum.

#99 Liz Lemon(30 Rock) - This was hard because I think I got Frank Drebin into the list, but I do love 30 Rock. Really a toss up here, it's unfortunate that these two were paired for me.

#102 Mr. Eko(Lost) - Although Mr. Eko isn't probably in my top 5 or 10 favorite LOST characters, I really don't like King of the Hill at all, so Mr. Eko it is!

#154 Thomas Magnum(Magnum, PI) - Magnum is a pimp and I do love The Simpsons, but I really do not like the Sideshow Bob episodes for some reason.

#104 Lowell(Wings) - Probably should have abstained from this as I haven't seen Weeds, yet, but I used to watch wings when it was on twice in a row on USA back in the day, so I had to go with Lowell.

#152 Mr. Burns(The Simpsons) - Another unfortunate matchup, I love ATHF and The Simpsons, but c'mon... it's Mr. Burns.

#150 Dr. Zoidberg(Futurama) - Love Futurama, never really got into ER. Zoidberg had some memorable moments on Futurama.

#108 Sayid(Lost) - Never seen "The Wire." Sayid, once again, is not necessary one of my favorite LOST characters, but they have really flushed out his story arc and he has had many memorable moments.

Matchup #1 - #99 Liz Lemon(30 Rock) -- I have to admit that I'm judging Drebin mostly on the basis of movies, but it seems to me that this is appropriate since the movies continue his story. The character is just way too broad for my tastes. Lemon is not a character I see voting for all that much (a bit too Dave Nelson to be great), but she's better than Drebin.

Matchup #2 - #157 Oscar the Grouch(Sesame Street) -- Oscar is a terrific character when you think about how challenging his role is. Bagwell at first blush seems like a terrific character in his own right, but that's just in comparison to the dreck that is the rest of Prison Break. He approaches dynamic character status, but that shouldn't be enough here.

Matchup #3 - #156 Christian Troy(Nip/Tuck) -- I'd like to be Dr. Troy for a week...just short enough a time to escape the genital burning and AIDS test.

Matchup #4 - A notable no-vote here. I don't really think either character is worth much. Boomhauer is as one note as Kenny from South Park in my opinion, and Mr. Eko has such an incomplete arc that I can't bring myself to vote for him.

Matchup #6 - #104 Lowell(Wings) -- While not my idea of a great character, Lowell was enjoyable. I always preferred Antonio Scarpacci, though.

Matchup #8 - #151 Robert Petrie(Dick Van Dyke) -- It's nearly as difficult to vote for Profit as it would be to vote for Mr. Eko, but I would give Profit more of a pass since the show was canceled. Profit also has such an interesting backstory that a vote for him would have been possible but for the match up against Petrie, a truly very funny character who should have gotten more mentions.

Matchup #10 - #108 Sayid(Lost) -- I again offer my apology to fans of The Wire -- I just have not started the show yet. I actually thought when casting this vote that it was for Said from Oz, but I don't regret my vote at all. Sayid may end up being the best thing about LOST. As it is, he's definitely in the top five.

the only matchup that really meant anything to me (Matchup 6) had two of my favority characters.

Had to go with Profit -- more original character. DVD seems to just play himself.

1) Frank Drebin may be more memorable because of the movies, but Police Squad was only 6 episodes. Had to go with Lemon.

2) Abstain. Haven't ever watched Prison Break.

3) Abstain. Haven't ever watched Spaced

4) Mr. Eko. Agree with other poster that his character arc was not complete due Agbaje's desire to quit the show, but he was still memorable. Also, I never got into King of the Hill. Besides, Agbaje's real memorable character has already been bounced. Might as well vote for him here again.

5) Never watched that many episodes of Magnum, but I was alive in the 80s. It's an iconic character. Sideshow Bob doesn't belong in the same conversation.

6) Love Lowell. He and Antonio were the only good things on Wings the last few years he was on the show. Still haven't watched Weeds so I abstained.

7) Violated my rule and voted for Mr. Burns. He would be my top character from the Simpsons so I had to vote for him.

8) Haven't ever watched Profit, but it was so short lived that I can't in good conscience vote for it over Dick Van Dyke.

9) Benton. Easy. He was my favorite character on ER (the good years). I like Futurama, but always thought Zoidberg was annoying.

10) The Bunk obviously...I mean I have been campaigning even though I knew he would lose first round no matter who he faced. Sayid is one of my favorite Lost characters (probably second behind Juliet), but his character arc has been crap since season 2. Sayid's cat? Really? Still, I knew going in that the only Wire character with a shot of going anywhere in this is Omar.
