Matchup#2: The Sesame Street character versus The Pedophile

You've got a sick sense of humor Woody.-wink-

You guys are taking the potential Magnum PI loss way too hard.

He was one of some people's top ten favorite TV characters of all time; I think that entitles them to be invested in how he fares in this tournament. He didn't make my top ten, but he's easily in my top twenty. And in a 1980s or action specific tournament, he would be top 10.

Plus, I think it's who he might lose to. I love some of the Sideshow Bob episodes (though they, like the show in general, aren't as good as they were 15 years ago), but he's an animated character who's not even a regular on the show. Plus, it's basically a chance for Kelsey Grammar to ham it up a little.

I didn't watch Magnum, but Magnum was truly one of the most iconic characters in TV history. It would be much like Jim Rockford of the 70s losing to Sideshow Bob. As much as I like some of the Sideshow Bob episodes, he's just not.

Isn't that very natural quality a hallmark of good comedy? That's the way I have always taken it.

I think a better analogy would be Lucy Ricardo losing to Otis from The Andy Griffith Show.

Quite a few close matchups in this group. We need more voters!!

Yeah, I thought that TBag vs Oscar was an interesting matchup. I didn't set it up either, it really is random tie breakers. Random.Org List Randomizer. There are a couple of Show vs Show matchups in the next Round. I know Star Trek: TNG has two characters going against each other.

Matchup #1: Frank Drebin(Police Squad) - Toughest choice.

Matchup #2: Oscar the Grouch(Sesame Street)

Matchup #3: ABSTAIN

Matchup #4: Mr. Eko(Lost)

Matchup #5: Thomas Magnum(Magnum, PI)

Matchup #6: ABSTAIN

Matchup #7: Mr. Burns(The Simpsons) - Easiest choice.

Matchup #8: ABSTAIN

Matchup #9: Dr. Peter Benton(ER)

Matchup #10: Sayid(Lost)

You've hit the nail on the head. Losing to Bart, Homer or Mr. Burns is one thing but losing to a bit player? I forgot who said it in the nomination round, but this single matchup just proves that the voting rounds are a mere formality and we could just crown Homer the winner. Oh well. All in good fun.

But that it should be so close is travesty enough. I can see TC or Higgins losing to SSB, but THOMAS SULLIVAN MAGNUM?!?! That's like saying Icepick was more important to the show. -rolleyes-
