I would have voted for Bill McNeal over anyone in this group.
Bill: "How come no one thinks I'm funny?"
Lisa: "How come no one thinks I'm female?"
Bill: "We're misunderstood, I suppose. That's why guys like you and me gotta hang together."

It's good to see Fred (one of my picks) do so well, but looking at the competition I wonder, is that a love for Fred or hatred for Carrie?

Speaking for myself, I will say that I was fond of Fred as a child and have not really re-watched Sanford and Son in ages. I voted favorably for him out of nostalgia that probably won't stay with me too far into this tourney. Carrie Bradshaw created most of her own conflict and, to the very end, insisted on blaming everyone else instead of ever having a character-growth moment of epiphany. At the risk of sounding sexist, I think the writers did a great job of creating a character that was symbolic of a lot of women--but after seven seasons and a movie, she should have had that epiphany somewhere along the line.

If I may make a suggestion for future polls. Put a link to the polls, as they are posted, in the character selection thread. I know it's my own fault for missing this poll, but if it would have been posted in the selection thread, I would have gotten an e-mail or seen it in my control panel. This would also automatically notify the people who posted/subscribed to the selection thread if they have notifications on.
