so i figured i would try out HD snce its only 6 bucks more a month. well i got this channel pallidia i had never heard of. wow it is fucking great. so many good concerts and shows. and it looks great too. it alone is worth the 6 bucks extra a month. i still dont get the HD hype. it isnt that great really and i noticed that the sd channels look worse with my HD box. i noticed that as soon as i got the new box. i think its a trick to get you to keep the box.

Right here! Watched 'Pink Floyd's The Wall' the other night and it was glorious. 'Song Remains the Same' played Saturday night, I think. Great stuff.

One of my favorite channels. Caught U2's Rattle and Hum the other night, HD with 5.1 surround sound was just awesome.

There's a lot of great live music on the channel from fantastic artists, but it's a Viacom/MTV channel so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they ruin it just like they did with MTV2.

And yes, the channel is indeed quite awesome. Of all the HD channels I watch, this one gets the most mileage. They show some impressive concert footage, and is always fun to leave on in the background while working on other things.

As Achtung mentioned, it is then only a matter of time until they fuck it up. Watch out, here come more reality shows! Yay! Groin! And why for?

For you young 'uns Palladia is close to what MTV was in the 80's. I caught "Song Remains the Same" the other night. Never saw it before. I felt 15 again.

I would love it more if the audio didn't cut out for a second every minute or two. I have that problem on a few of my Comcast HD channels It might be the HD-DVR, so I need to burn off my saved shows before I swap it out I guess.

Aside from everything being censored, I really like the channel when they're showing something good. Even the Pussycat Dolls or Avril Levine concerts were quite watchable in HD.

I usually forget about this channel but caught David Gilmour Live in Gdansk last weekend and it was great.

Exactly. I'd have to guess anyone who makes a statement like this doesn't have their system set up correctly. Either using RCA cables instead of component or HDMI, or maybe the settings on their box are wrong. HDTV blows away SD in every way imaginable. It's not even close.

Anyway, I like this channel, and FUSE HD... between these two stations I've completely forgotten MTV even exists.

i use component and my 50" samsung dlp has been calibrated. some shows look amazing like ones on hgtv, palladia, and food network but others look just ok so i dont think its my dvr. i have messed with the settings and it didnt improve anything.

Her concert wasn't THAT great.

Watching every last perky nip in HD on that Taylor Swift/Def Leppard special was just icing on the cake, as far as I'm concerned. She didn't look bad either, although my wife commented that she dances like a ho.

Well since Comcast decided to make most channels encrypted QAM and I'm too lazy to get yet another one of their boxes (at an extra $2 a month) my bedroom TV has mostly been dedicated to Palladia.

Great channel, loving the Glastonbury and Austin City Limits repeats. I'm assuming they just show the ACL concert and not the actual episodes (Season 35 started last night) but I can't quite tell.

Oh and HUGE for them showing VMAs. So stupid.

I like the channel, it would be nice if they didn't repeat the same stuff over and over again
