Bottom line, if a show isn't produced inhouse by that network and doesn't have blockbuster ratings, it's going to be on the bubble or in danger of being cancelled.

Parenthood is now a mid-season show because of medical conditions surrounding Maura Tieney. Maybe good news for Chuck fans?

More detailed story about Parenthood being pushed back. They won't start filming until September now. Mercy, which was supposed to be a mid-season show will replace it in the Fall lineup instead.
That's a bummer about Parenthood. That was one of the few new NBC shows I was really looking forward to. Hopefully the delay will help the writers come up with some great scripts. Also, Jason Katims can probably now devote his full attention to Friday Night Lights this summer.

Wonder how that affects Michelle Trachtenberg who is suppose to be guest starring on Gossip Girl for 2-5 episodes? They just started filming of that last week (IIRC).

Well, she's a lead in Mercy and she under contract for that show and I assume it's shot in LA, so I assume the Gossip Girl producers will have to work around her schedule/availability.
