According to a family spokesman, Arthur died early on the morning of April 25th, 2009 apparently due to complications brought on by cancer.

When Estelle Getty passed away last year, none of the other Golden Girls went to her funeral. I wonder if whoever is left will attend Bea's?

That's a real shame. She seemed like an interesting lady with fantastic comedic timing and some very significant contributions to the entertainment world. For my money, Golden Girls may be the best television comedy ever, if not the best show period.
