I think this episode showed too that Michael isn't a complete idiot and at least knows stuff about the paper industry and has some business savvy. I loved how he said that Dunder Mifflin is a sinking ship and that they already had to close two branches.

I'm going to guess that the Michael Scott Paper Company won't exactly be a success (in that it won't turn out to be profitable), but will damage Dunder Mifflin's business enough for a reconciliation.

I think that's where we are headed. Michael can't run a business, but he is a hell of a salesman and can hurt D-M in the area.

The entire Dwight/Micheal storyline was brilliant because they were both playing to their strengths and weaknesses. Michael is an amazing salesman, but terrible at trying to be the bad guy, while the opposite is true with Dwight. It was like they were trying to beat the other at their own game the entire episode, great stuff.

Yeah, great episode. I loved how Michael wouldn't just assume that Dwight was the one up to the no good, and Pam and Ryan had to pound it into his head each time with their signs.
Imagine the photochops we can do with this .gif, replacing the words on the notepad.

I though this was a great episode. Michael was not depicted as a complete imbecile as in a few other episodes this season. I could have done without the Jim/Andy stuff - I don't really get why Jim would find that amusing and he came off as kind of a dick, (maybe that was the point) but I guess they needed something to break up the Michael Scott Paper company scenes. I'd say this was one of the best this season. I hope they keep the Dwight/Michael rivalry going for a while.

Michael is a damn smart man. The cards with personal information regarding clients small (yet important) details and mentioning DM closed 2 branches...pure genius.

Michael: I am eating your Chicken Parm sandwich.
Dwigt: I knew you would do that so I had you order the Chicken Parm which is their worst sandwich.
Michael: (taking a bite) Ugh...

"Say hello to your wife...who is black."
Did anyone think that phone call at the end might've been the big client and he had a mouth full of cheeseballs? Could be trouble...

I was starting to tire of The Office a few weeks ago, but I think this Michael Scott Paper Co. plotline has really revitalized it for me - the last few weeks have been great. "Orange you glad I didn't mention that"

I kept expecting Charles to catch Jim goofing around. Especially during his break room tantrum.
The best for me was when Michael called Dwight. "I'm going to make you listen while I steal your biggest client."

Agreed on the Jim and Andy stuff coming up short. Dwight and Micheal becoming enemies is a nice twist. So, it was another one for me that was hit and miss.

I liked Michael's savvy as a salesman in this episode, but I didn't like Dwight stealing stuff from Michael like that. It seemed a bit odd to me.
They could have done a lot better with the Andy/Jim stuff too.

I wanted Michael to get Dwight fired for the stealing (and the fish), but then, I was just upset at Dwight. What the heck is Michael going to do without his rolodex? Or did Pam color code the blackberry entries when she inputted them too?
As good as Michael is at sales, I'm wondering if he actually did teach guys like Dwight and Jim anything about paper sales. He sure hasn't done much with Pam and Ryan.

Here's a link for all to enjoy:
http://www.michaelscottpapercompany.com/
Love this portion:
We're offering a special discount to all current Dunder Mifflin customers, and an extra special discount to any customer who currently uses Dwight Schrute as their sales representative. While the Michael Scott Paper Company cares about all of its customers, we're especially worried for those still attempting to get their paper needs met by the heartless and humorless Mr. Schrute. In a perfect world, everyone would get the best possible paper at the lowest possible prices from an employee that is actually concerned about his customers. Unfortunately, the world is filled with pig slaughtering beet farmers-who don't value loyalty and are only concerned with bottom lines and profit margins. So for those of you who have experienced the curt bedside manner of Dwight Schrute, a better, warmer, cheaper world of paper awaits you at the Michael Scott Paper Company.
Great episode last night. Really surprised me.
