Hey all,
Quick question - probably covered before - is Jack going to end up being the "workman" corpse found in [was it?] one of the VW minivans in the future? Ciao, GEA-Guy |

I don't know, it could be. But Naomi would have to know exactly what the dead guy was doing in order to confirm Miles' powers. Widmore would want the guy responsible for his dirty work to be dead.
So I think this is pretty good proof that Widmore did the whole thing. I think this is pretty good proof that they want us to think Widmore did the whole thing. |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Naomi spelled out clearly what they wanted. She said that the man they're after who is hard to find (Ben) killed a lot of people (purge) and a lot of information could be obtained from those people (in the pit). Miles didn't get a chance to read any dead Dharma thoughts while in 2007.

When this first came out, everyone noted that Chang went crazy to make sure the rabbits don't touch. We see young Miles and adult Miles in the same scene during this week's episode.

Maybe you're describing 'The Incident'. And, perhaps that's how Miles got his 'power' to talk to dead people (especially if the different time theory is true).

For a scientist working with the possibility of time travel, Marvin Candle is pretty dense and slow if he can't figure out that adult Miles is his kid grown-up. How many Asian dudes that have physically resembling features as him are named Miles?

Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
I've never watched one of the recap episodes before, like the one they're airing on Wednesday(I watched seasons 1-4 in the past 2 months and the first 5 episodes of season 5 online before catching up), but I'm curious if they're at all worthwhile.
I'm going to watch it regardless because any LOST is better than none, but just wanted to know if it's just a glorified "Previously on LOST" or something more legit. |

What? I don't think people go around looking for grown up versions of their infant children. If I met somebody with the same name as my child who happens to be a few decades older, I wouldn't even think that regardless of how much they look like me.

I would be more concerned with my wife's fidelity after getting pregnant shortly after a new, hot young asian shows up and then coincidently names our kid with the same decidedly non-oriental name.
(Did I get my terms correct, Otters?) |

This is (basically) my problem with "Back to the Future" as well. Wouldn't George be at least somewhat curious that one of their kids looks exactly like the guy Lorraine used to date in high school?
Then again, maybe George and Lorraine are really stupid. |
Re: Lost -- "Some like it Hoth" -- 04/15/09
Pierre is doing his best to keep quiet about all things time travel related even though Hurley is driving hard to the basket with his questions and comments. Like I said before, all any of them have to do at this point is give Chang a brief mention about time travel, a giant wheel, the purge, etc...and he'll probably realize these people are for real.
Remember, in BTTF, Doc was worried what might happen if Jennifer were to run into her future self. He theorized it might unravel the space-time continuum. In reality they simply fainted. Since in that film, the past could be changed, it's different than LOST's whatever happened, happened theory. Maybe the two Miles meet face-to-face and start the unraveling. |

They haven't touched upon the Kate-Jack-Sawyer love triangle for a long time. I wonder what direction they will take that. I'm sure here's fan fiction somewhere that involves a foursome with them and Juliet.

At 1:46, I think Miles says "None of that matters" (right before Farraday says "It doesn't matter, just get to it"). The rest is Farraday.

With one season left I don't see them dedicating any time to switching Roger with Jack as the dead corpse.
