Obviously, they are in 1977, so the latest rage in Dharmaville is this new Star Wars movie released in the main land.
The rest of the episode revolves around Miles and Hurley spoiling everyone on who Luke's father and sister are, and then writing a script entitled 'The Empire Strikes Back' and sending it to George Lucas with a note attached pleading for Irvin Kershner to direct it ....

It was also the title of a song by Power Station back in 1985. Power Station was a supergroup formed by Robert Palmer, Tony Thompson (of Chic) and Andy and John Taylor from Duran Duran.

Well, it seems the guys in the van, and now on the island via flight 316, are Dharma.
The shadow of the statue question is very similiar to the "what did one snowman say to the other snowman" line from S2.

Ahhh, so now we know where the episode title comes from. Funny!
After hearing about how this episode would be filler, I'm really liking it. We got answers about Miles, more Naomi, and more appearances by this 'third group' and 'what lies in the shadow of the statue'. Can't wait to see how it ends.
