That sucks, but seriously who didn't see it coming?

I'm not surprised at all. I really like the show myself but couldn't see fox running with it. I hope they close the show out so it will be like a really long mini series. Maybe even bridge the gap between the movies.

I believe so, I enjoy Heroes well enough to wish for it to continue.

Too bad, I really loved that show. Still, I'm glad they let it finish this season out. It would have been horrible if they had just canned it half way through leaving too many questions unanswered. At least this way there was sort of a wrap-up.

I watched the first half-dozen or so eps last season and didn't care much for it.

Sucks, but saw it coming a mile away. I'll support it with a dvd purchase though. The highlight of the series for me though is still that episode with Cameron in the libary at night.

I didn't even start watching because I knew it would not be allowed to play itself out on it's own terms.

I would love if Fox brought it back for a six-episode mini-season just to wrap things up (mainly I'd like to see closure on
Spoiler:
the Cameron/John Henry storyline and how Sarah adjusts in present time to the fact she is all alone now),
but I suppose the way contracts work that might not be cost effective.

maybe after the Salvations movie, the show will become John Connor Chronicles!

One of the writers for the show said on his Twitter that the Ausiello report is false.

That is good enough for me.

Since this and Fringe are both from Warner Brothers and I assume each has a hefty licensing fee, I would think that FOX would be inclined to keep Fringe over Terminator since it has more long-term story potential and the episodes can actually re-air periodically and make a profit for the network.

I really doubt that such an expensive show whose ratings drop every week is going to get a reprieve.

For the nay sayers, let me repeat what others have said, the show is NOT offically cancelled. Especally because a blogger or two says so. There is still a chance this could be picked up. Fox is looking at everything, not just the ratings.

They be holding out to see how well the movies does. If it does huge numbers it could really revitalize this show into a new season.

That's my thinking. When does T4 hit Theaters?

May 21. Its got nothing else at that point to hinder it for the two weeks following its release IIRC. I'm pretty sure most everyone that wants to see Star Trek by that point will have seen it and horrendous word of mouth will have the would be viewers of Wolvie go see the God Damn John Connor instead.

Too many conflicting reports on this. I'm holding out hope that Fox is waiting to see how the preview/reviews of T4 are before making their final decision.

Re: Sarah Connor Chronicles to Be Cancelled

The only reason Fox renewed it in the first place is because Warner Bros. slashed their rate so the second season could promote the movie. After the movie is out, I doubt very much they will give Fox a discount to run the show.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has NOT been axed

A REPORT that claimed Fox has cancelled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been dismissed as false.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reported a source saying the sci-fi show had been axed.

But the show's writer Ashley Edward Miller dismissed the claim via Twitter, saying: "Time for Ausiello's semi-annual SCC termination report. False again."
Miller was referring to Ausiello's earlier reports that had also claimed the show had been dropped - one report just before season two and another midway through the season.

Showrunner Josh Friedman also responded via Twitter: "Waiting for Michael Ausiello to tell me what I'm supposed to do now with my career."

Actor Brian Austin Green, who plays Derek Reese in the show, told Comic Book Resources: "Nobody's heard anything. I've heard a lot of speculation, you know, people saying that it won't be back but we thought that after our first season. We thought that again after the thirteenth episode of this season going into the back nine.

"We've kind of been the show that's fought its way through and I don't think we're done. I don't necessarily think that Fox is done with it. They really enjoy the show.

"It's just that a show like this has a very specific audience. It's a really intelligent show and for the people that don't watch it every week, there's no possible way they could follow it. It's a very unique series that way. I mean, it's incredibly serialised and incredibly intelligent."

He added: "The third season is going to be incredible, if it happens. There were no intentions of this being a SERIES finale. It was absolutely a SEASON finale. There's a plan where this can go and it's so good."

Fox said it was still deciding the fate of the show: "No decision has been made yet. We will be announcing our Fall schedule on May 18."

SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SEASON FINALE:
Green clarified fans' confusion over the season two finale, explaining that John Connor had travelled to an alternative future where he had never existed before, along with Catherine Weaver (who may turn out to have been sent back from that future by John), while Sarah Connor stepped out of the time-travel bubble and stayed behind in the present.

They can't wait until how the movie does in the box office. The Up fronts for Fall 2009/Spring 2010 will have already been announced.
