This ep was pretty weak although it felt neccessary so that they can set up the rest of the last few episodes. There was some funny stuff but not great.

When they said that she was leaving for 4 weeks I told my wife "she is going to have her baby pretty soon" and she, who checks all the gossip sites/magazines replied "yeah, she just had her baby last week".
Is Robin still pregnant?

I like how they're doing kind of a slow build to the Barney/Robin story line and not smacking us in the face with it. Though I guess the whole premise of the show is exactly that.

Hated this episode. The assistant in the same room for a business that doesn't exist seemed like a ripoff of Kramerica's intern. And the "that guy" business at Barney & Marshall's company was just staggeringly stupid, expecially the ninja.
Lately the show isn't comparing well to its lead-in, the excellent Big Bang Theory.

I don't watch this that often but my GF does and we have the season sets. I actually dug Marshall trying to figure out what guy to be.

If you watch Robin closely they are trying pretty hard to hide any shots where she might show anything too telling. Although one shot of her on the sofa near then end made me go "super pregnant" but that might have been the type of shirt she had on.
I thought it was a good enough episode, but not great.

One of the worst episodes of the entire show's run. I did like how they wrote Lily off though, that was semi-unique.

Yeah, in perspective it wasn't a really good show. Compared with the quality of the series in general. But it's still HIMYM, so I had fun watching it.

Poor episode indeed. As for the pregnancy thing, I don't think that they are trying too hard to hide it anyway. It's almost like a wink-wink she's not pregnant thing. Everyone knows that she is, so as long as her character isn't, it's not a big deal.

Yeah this episode was kind of weak but the last three before this one have been great. I also don't mind the pregnant women. The producers know that we know that they're pregnant and they're just rolling with it and letting the characters just be. Much better than working the pregancy into the show.
So is Lily out for the rest of the season? They said that after the joke they didn't see Lily for 4 weeks... does that mean she's out or does that mean she'll be back for the finale?

I read these posts before watching the episode on my DVR last night and was expecting disaster. I rather liked the episode and thought it was generally pretty funny. To each his own I guess.

I dunno, if I didn't know they were pregnant, I'm not sure I'd notice, and I think they way they handle it here with a wink and a nod is great. I also liked how they worked Lily's absence into a plot thread to get Barney to talk to Marshall.
I didn't even mind the obvious disparity with the company: they're firing people, but they hire an extraneous paralegal?

Nice way to handle Allison Hannigan's maternity leave.
