The Unit -- "The Last Nazi" -- 2/15/09

Photobucket

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

The President orders the team to capture a Nazi war criminal and bring him to The Hague in the Netherlands. In D.C., Tom confronts his past when he is offered a promotion to general.

Feels like ages since the last episode.

It has been ages.

Excellent opening for the episode. Episode was good, so what happened at the end with Ryan? He was day-dreaming about Tiffy? Nice.

Bad news for The Unit. This episode barely got over 8M viewers. Considering this show used to get 11-12M out of NCIS, I think it's looking like this might be it for the show after this season.

I would credit this mostly to the move to sunday. I think it was a better fit right after NCIS. On Sundays it is essentially on its own.

Who produces this show? I'd think it might make a more attractive show if they could crank out another half season.

It looks like it may be a Fox-CBS join venture of some sort.

At first, I thought he was dreaming the whole thing with his ex. Has anyone else noticed how well Charlotte enunciates everything? It almost sounds peculiar.

I didn't buy the Priest thing for a moment, I was surprised Jonas did. I'm really digging Barry Corbin on the show. I wish he would get more roles. I loved him as Maurice Minnifield in Northern Exposure and always wished he'd pop up in something else as memorable.

I liked the cameo by John Locke.

I believe the actress actually talks that way - I saw her in Stuart Gordon's Edmond and she sounded exactly the same.

I often daydream of Tiffy as well.

20th Century FOX produces it, which sort of work against it since CBS usually supports their own productions (CBS/Paramount) then stuff produced by outside studios unless the ratings are outstanding.

interesting episode. figured we'd see that old fogie back in the mix at some point. my guess is he'll still try to expose the bogus company, succeed in doing so, the unit will be exposed and they'll have to move on.

He plays Brenda Lee's dad in The Closer, and is always amusing.

Thank you, I thought it was just me, it sounds like she wants to be British, or maybe her jaw is wired shut.
