Each episode still has some good one-liners, but this season it just doesn't have the consistency it did the last couple.

I didn't think this was a bad episode, but the way the Holly thing was set up and marketed and then have her not show flat out pissed me off.

Yup. I've seen the show from the beginning and rewatched my Office DVDs many times...it is really no better or worse than it was in any other season. People are just remembering the good parts over the bad.

Lost and Heros both suck. lol They just keep them going as long as they can sell advertising. Very soap opera type acting. LAME!
As for this week of "The Office"..............pretty lame. Also Jim and Dwight seem like they forgot how to act like themselves for some reason. I never saw the first 3 seasons until last year when I rented them after season 4. It isn't even close to being as good as the other seasons. I think once Jim and Pam hooked up the show lost a lot. And Micheal and Jan going back and forth was very good too. Once Jan was fired it became a very different show. Oh well I guess it ran it's course but it was one of the best shows ever in my opinion. Reminded me of the Larry Sanders show which I also liked very much.

It sure looked like him but I've been trying to find out for sure since the episode aired and haven't found any proof that it was actually him.

for some reason I loved Pam's lines "I have a chainsaw...cutting down the competition" and "what, i'm not the one who's in love with her". Cracked me up for some reason.

I enjoyed the show. The last 15 minutes seemed to be the better half. I still think the show has a lot of gas left and will watch it 2 more, 5 more or 10 more years. It's still to me, better than anything else on tv.

I think it's more that 30 Rock and The Office can never seem to string together two great episodes back to back (with one another, I don't mean from week to week). The Office was up early this year, and 30 Rock was down. Now 30 Rock seems to be on a hot streak, and The Office has hit us with back to back bleh episodes (for the show -- they still beat According to Jim).

I had to pause to regain my composure multiple times in this episode. When Michael said "does she ever mention me" I said "oh God" out loud at the exact same time that Pam did with the same horrified tone.

The Office is a better show than 30 rock if only for the reason that more people can relate to working in a generic office in small town USA than working for a TV network in NYC.
I think Alec Baldwin makes the entire show.........Tina Fey should stick to writing and playing Sara Pailn. Her acting is average. By the way...........Baldwin is hosting SNL tonight. Should be good. I missed seeing Steve Martin host a few weeks ago so I want to see this one.

I thought it was pretty godawful.
The whole cat-licking thing was just too much, one of the ways (mentioned in the previous thread) the shows veers into shock ridiculousness and totally loses me. When they start pulling jokes like that, can the Great Gazoo be very far behind? Methinks not. We're probably an ep away from "Dwight calling Orson, come in Orson."

I can relate to being a married father more than I can relate to being a single dad who is thrust into the role of running a troubled company when my father is jailed on tax evasion charges, but that doesn't make According to Jim better than Arrested Development.

I thought the episode was pretty weak as well. The rest of the season has been good, so I don't see how someone would use this as an example of running out of steam.

Disappointing episode.
Cat thing = not funny.
Michael = only funny when doing the speech and speaking with A.J.
Pam = not funny.
Part 1 last week was much better.

The plot with Angela, Kevin, Creed and Oscar felt like a webisode. I guess partially because the other cast members didn't interact with them at all. We didn't even see them in the background during the Jim, Dwight, Kelly stuff. Only Stanley and Phyllis were.
