I had this flash of a memory while watching a different show of something I'd seen before and I've spent an hour googling and looking at tv shows and I just can't figure out what little I can remember comes from. There's an outside shot it's from a film, but I think it's from a tv series and I don't have a lot to go on.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

I remember 2 male characters doing something along the line of advertising. They have started their own company and really don't have money and need a job badly. One of the 2 males is the more grounded character and the other not so much, but is a good guy still.

They get a break and get offered a job working to help design for a company, with really cool offices, so they're, I guess, freelancing, and this company hires them and gives them an area to work in and possibly some people to work along with.

One of the guys meets a hot girl there and they hook up at some point, staying late at night to work but mostly they just start some kind of romantic fling.

Her dad owns the company.

He catches them together or figures out they've been together.

I also remember when they're given time to pitch what they've been working on, one kind totally dismisses what they other guy told him to do and acts really spaz-like which reflects poorly and I'm pretty sure they are let go by the dad/owner...although I'm not sure if it's because of the girl of the fact that the one guy is making them both look badly.

I believe somehow things get resolved and they get a second chance to come back to the firm.

I don't know if anyone else ever gets something like that stuck in your head, but I could not stop trying to work it out. I needed to be alone.

I just kept googling different sets of words until I got the answer, I looked at all of my movies and thought about the plots, did the same with tv, wrote names of other shows down on paper...it took me about 2 straight hours.

I didn't care, since I already knew the answer.

But I do know what you're talking about, when you get something like that stuck in your head and you just can't remember where it's from. Out of the blue sometimes, I'll think of a line or scene or something, usually one I saw somewhat recently, and for the life of me, I just can't remember what it's from. It can be really frustrating. Fortunately, most of the time, it'll come to me eventually.
