Wrestling is fake
Did anyone see the last 2 mins of Smackdown?
When triple H hit Vladimir Kozlo, Vladimir flew out the ring, but he did a extra jump/roll when he wasn't on the ground yet, and when triple H did his special move on Khali , well if you look close, the move wasn't even done on him.
The time was 9:58 when all this went down, so you know that sh** was planned lol.

First, wrong forum. (put this in Sports Talk)
Second, are you twelve?
Everyone knows it's basically a soap opera for men performed by wrestlers who are basically stuntmen. They usually try protect themselves and anyone else in the ring and yes, sometimes they screw up doing that.

Spoilers are not allowed in thread titles! Ban him!
Luckily, this is one of the few steroid-free sports left.
Someone should make a movie about a wrestler. I can imagine how it could be good.

Uh ... I like turtles?
The OP is an a-hole for not using spoilers and he better leave the Easter Bunny out of this delusion that he has fallen prey to.

Re: Wrestling is fake
I've always wondered why pro wrestling is in Sports Talk and not TV Talk. Or more specifically, why one instead of the other? Was it just because whoever started the first pro wrestling thread started it in Sports Talk? Obviously wrestling has an athletic element to it, but there is zero legitimate competition involved.
I almost asked this question when there was that thread in Sports Talk about McMahon "dying" in the limo explosion. I mean, what the hell does that have to do with sports? But people were already arguing about the validity of wrestling, so I knew the wrestling fans would just think I was piling-on.

I wouldn't expect anything less from you Crusader. Remember, you are they only guy that is waiting for Paris Hilton 2nd album:

Re: Wrestling is fake
Really? Wow... Wrestlers blow spots all the time. Considering the fact that most matches usually only have the ending, the length and high spots actually mapped out in advance I'm amazed more mess ups don't happen. The only real time a match is actually choreographed is when they bring in an outside celebrity or if it is a women's match.
The guys usually play moves by ear with the Heel (bad guy) calling out the move sets in the ring because it is his job to make the good guy look great. Which is why most of the old school good guys were actually awful wrestlers (Hogan, Duggan) and those who could call out matches the bad guys (Savage, Flair). In the new era of WWE that system has been relaxed a bit (Hunter gets to call matches regardless of if he's a bad guy or not).
As for moves not hitting you have to be kidding me. You must have never taken a martial art or contact sport before because if you expect a 450 pound man to NOT protect himself when falling on his head you have to be crazy. It's a show. Rambo doesn't really shoot people, Iron Man was mostly plastic and Buffy never saw a real vampire. I don't demand those shows actually kill, shoot and blow up people so I'm not gonna expect the same from wrestlers.
And technically, it is a competition of sorts. The guys who sell the most merchandise, gets the highest rating and sell out arena's without pissing off the guys in charge get to keep their jobs.
