No Lost is inexcusable. That show has bounced back in a huge way.
And sorry, but Weeds has sucked for 2 years now. I'm sick of shows getting nominated based on their reputation(*cough*West Wing*cough*).

Kevin Connolly? Really? I enjoy "Entourage," but Piven's the only regular that really stands out in that series.
No love for "The Shield" is really surprising. This final season was excellent.
And while I've never seen the show, the collective critical jizz spilled for "The Wire" could fill the Grand Canyon. No nods for that show will upset some people, I'm sure.
But I don't really care about awards shows (except for the Oscars, but that's because I usually make a pool for that), much less the Golden Globes.

They got the Comedy series nominations absolutely correct. 5 great shows.
Also replace House with Lost and the Drama category would be very acceptable s well.
Good TV noms this year.
I'll be rooting for Recount and Leary and Spacey for their roles in that great movie.

Wow, out of all those, I've only watched a few.
I think Christina Applegate deserves the nod for her work on Samantha Who? as does Steve Carrell for The Office.
But Kiefer Sutherland for 24: Redemption? Really? It was a decent movie, but nothing noteworthy.

I think the Hollywood Foreign Press' love for HBO exceeds their love of individual shows. In Treatment, True Blood & Entourage do not deserve to be nominated, imo.

Lost was simply amazing this past season. I watched most episodes multiple times before deleting them. Henry Ian Cusick was brilliant in The Constant (episode 5). If he's not recognized with a nomination somewhere along the line then these people aren't watching the same shows I am.
Very happy to see True Blood in there along with Anna Paquin.

I love the Shield but the final two seasons were without a doubt the weakest of the series. LLost should have been nominated though. Brotherhood was very strong as well.

I'm glad to see that "True Blood" got into the mix, especially in its first season (correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't "Six Feet Under" completely ignored by the globes in its first year)?
I'm happy to see Christina Applegate and Niel Patrick Harris up there as well, two very deserving actors.

I enjoyed True Blood, but I can't believe it got nominated for Best Drama.
On a side note, I'm happy to see Anna Paquin's boobalicious performance get nominated for the "Golden Globes".

You have to wonder how these nominations are done (does anyone here know? Is there a committee?)
I'm a little partial to The Wire, but I can see how people judged that it doesn't hold a candle to True Blood (that would be sarcasm - I like True Blood, but.... really? this gets nominated over The Wire?)
I also have to wonder how much alignment with politics fits into the nomination - Recount gets 5 nominations (including 2 out of 5 best male performance)? I guess it's a shame it was released on TV - it may have taken home some Oscars! Or is it just that there are so few made for TV movies/mini-series?
And I have to echo the displeasure of Connolly getting the nod over Piven for nomination for actor in comedy/musical.
I would have liked to see The Shield at least get a sympathy nomination or 2. Kind of like the Peter Jackson 'body of work' consideration at the Oscars.
