24: Redemption -- 2 hour Event -- 11/23/08

24: Redemption

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Filmed on location in Cape Town, South Africa, and Los Angeles, 24: REDEMPTION stars Emmy Award winner Kiefer Sutherland along with Cherry Jones, Robert Carlyle, Gil Bellows and Jon Voight.

After sacrificing everything for his country, Jack Bauer is wanted by the U.S. government and now stands to lose the only thing he has left: his freedom. Working as a missionary in Africa, Bauer is called upon to stop a ruthless warlord from drafting innocent children into his murderous militia. First, Bauer must confront his own torturous past and face an impossible decision that will change his life forever. A decision that will set the stage and raise the stakes for Season Seven, which debuts in January 2009.

Thought I would start this thread a little early since it's been 18 months since we last saw Jack Bauer.

I am so effing excited. I have an unnatural love for 24 and Jack Bauer. I think all the Seasons have been great and expect the same from tomorrow night and Season 7 in January.

And for anyone that is going to pick this up come Tuesday, Best Buy has an exclusive 3-Disc Edition. It comes with the useless 3rd Disc Digital Copy, but the second disc is going to apparently have some exclusives the standard edition won't.

I watched all 6 season for the first time earlier this year and it's been painful having to wait this long for more Jack.

I will be watching tomorrow night and buying the DVD on Tuesday.

But I'm still not sure if I will watch Season 7 or wait for the DVD so that I can just watch it straight through. I'm not sure I can watch it week to week. It's more exciting to see it all unravel in a quick string of events.

From all the reviews I've read, this looks to be a pretty good bridge between the seasons. Heavy on action and kick-ass Jack. Too bad I'm in Vegas when it's on and have to wait a few extra days to watch it.

Haha at Original Desmond. I've been a long time 24 fan but I've read a couple of so-so reviews about this. Oh well, we'll see come tomorrow.

Just started on 24 myself... Finished season 1 and just got through the first 4 hours of season 2. Going to record this to watch in a few weeks. Yeah I dont know if I can watch this on a week to week basis. Don't know if I can handle the wait.

Very excited to see this. It's been what, 18 months since we last saw Jack? Who does he think he is, Tony Soprano?

The reviews I read have my expectations in check...I'm hoping to be happy, but I'll probably end up disappointed.

I am soooo looking forward to this tonight.

I hope it does really well and we'll be able to see more 24 movies so that we won't have to wait as long between seasons for Bauer and company.

The competition isn't too bad tonight, it's facing Football on NBC, The Amazing Race and the American Music Awards.

Its a DC? Sweet! Ill defenatley be picking it up.

I was just setting my timer and saw theyre showing football, will I have to pad and expect delays?

I hate footbal

I changed the station to a movie called WOman Wanted and its Jack Bauer dressed like a 12 year old and he looks about 40. What the hell is this?

Are there any reviews for the DVD yet? I'm a huge 24 fan and can't wait for the movie tonight, but I'm thinking maybe I should just wait for the DVD. It's fifteen minutes longer and it has almost the first half of Hour One from Season 7. The only plus about watching it tonight would be the fact it's HD.

I've already waited 18 months for a new episode, I can wait another two days for the DVD. Or should I just watch it tonight?

Im gonna wait for the DVD (which will be a two-disk set actually) and which I have already pre-ordered from CH.com.
I wanna see the dir. cut and dont wanna watch it twice. I will turn my tv on fox though for whatever reason just to support t and get the ratings up and I may sneak a peak at a few minutes cause it has been too long a wait since Ive seen me some 24.

I'm a 24 fan to the core and will be watching it tonight and again on Tuesday. Anyone considering skipping this is not a true 24 fan.
