Eleventh Hour (CBS) - any good?

I've enjoyed it. I heard that CBS is leaning towards ordering the back 9. I think Rufus Sewell is actually getting into the Jacob Hood role more as the weeks go by. I really like his partner played by Marley Shelton.

Even if it does get canceled, all the episodes are self contained so I wouldn't worry about getting burned because of a continuous storyline.

If I had to compare this show with anything it's a mixture of House, CSI and Bones.

It's averaged between 11-12M viewers a week and has been beating ER and Life on Mars every week. So I think the chances are pretty good it gets a full season.

I'm enjoying it so far, but I really liked the original BBC series as well (and that was only 4 esp). As mentioned everything so far is pretty self-contained and they haven't started building any larger arcs yet so go ahead and give it a try.

I have about 3 episodes left on my DVR. It's not a bad show, but it doesn't really inspire me to watch it right away. I was thinking of dropping it, but I might hang on to it and watch them over the holiday break.

Does the partner remind anyone else of Christina Ricci? I think they talk exactly alike, not just their voice but their manner of speaking.

Your right she does. I just couldn't put my finger on it. She also kind of reminds me a little of Mena Suvari.

Re: episode Argo

If you're going to steal you should steal from the best. The opening scene was straight out of Dr. Feynman's Challenger testimony.

I don't think it's a very good show. It resembles the short-lived Medical Investigation program or the film Outbreak far more than House (the TV shows premiered the same year). In other words it is way too simplistic and the science seems laughable. I like the stars but they need much better scripts.

Marley Shelton and Christina Ricci look similar with their eyes and slender faces.

and large foreheads. I've only seen the show a few times, but I thought they could play sisters.

The show itself is pretty good, although it's a little formulaic. The acting is good and there's enough humor to keep it interesting.

It's gone. Too bad as well because it wasn't a bad show. It just didn't fit with CBS and their "every show must bring in at least 50 billion viewers" attitude.
