Early in 2009, CSI: Miami is getting a big-name guest star for two episodes:

Diddy.

P.Diddy.

Yes, Sean Puff Daddy/Puffy/P.Diddy/Diddy/hurry-up-and-decide-on-a-damn-name-no-matter-how-stupid-it-sounds-Combs will play a Federal Prosecutor who gets personal with Caine and Co.

Yay!

Isn't that just great?

Really, isn't it?

I...can't wait....oh hell.

How about getting some cast members that can act.

OK, I was pissed about this at first since it sounded like he'd play the typical troubled 'artist.' But the role they gave him seems good, but it'll be hard to take him seriously, early on at least.

Nope. Still not watching.

that's not enough to get me to come back to this show for the second time.

I quit watching the show last season. This just confirms I made the right choice.

I don't understand how this show can go for 8 seasons and Miami Vice ended after 5 seasons.

CBS can put on any lame show and it will get ratings.

"Miami's hair is going to look great..."

"...because we're about to get a lot of 'Combs'."

Watched my first ever episode of CSI: Miami the other day, recorded it for my Mom. It was on 11/10 I think, the one about the hotel prostitution.

I used to love David Caruso back in the NYPD Blue days, and expected to like at least him in CSI.

But holy crap, I think he put on the worst acting performance I've ever seen in my entire life. Maybe the script was just awful, but his delivery was so pathetic that I broke out laughing several times.

Is it always that bad?

I've seen 7 or 8 episodes, and all performances were terrible. Caruso is second only to the blonde chick with the southern accent.

That's my problem with show. I love how it looks in HD when I'm skimming channels though.

Actually no.

If you look at season 1, most of season 2 and a little bit of season 3, Caruso wasn't nearly as rigid or forceful in his line delivery or overall personality.

He was actually a normal, likable leader who was far more believable compared to the comic book character he is now.
