OK, someone needs to explain to me the benefit of this split personality thing, cause I just don't see it.
I'm assuming it has something to do with preventing agents from telling their secrets if ever caught, right? And in todays covert world, I'm assuming that if a spy is caught, he/she is likely trained to take his/her secrets to the grave.
But here, what? the organization "switches off" the agent, leaving the meek average Joe persona to be tortured? doesn't make sense, as they will likely just tell them their "meek" name and information, leading terrorists/agents to go to their house and murder an innocent wife and children, not to mention blow the very elaborate cover this organization is working so hard to keep secret.
It would make MORE sense if the meek persona was the REAL persona, and the kick ass secret agent was some super-soldier created by the government that they can switch on and off on a whim... not the way it is portrayed in "My Own Worst Enemy" where the "tough guy" is the REAL guy, and the meek ass'd wimp was the government constructed persona.
Am I missing something here?

Tallguy,
I agree. I don't understand the benefit for the split-personality. Seems like more trouble than its worth. Look at all of the problems they are having. I also think the civilian identity is the real one.
