Since last week's episode was so good, tonight's will only be a letdown.

I recently lost a bunch of episodes on my DVR with the switch from Comcast to Direct TV.

With a show description like that, I'm debating about trying to play catch up...

I was reading on TVguide.com that they did not have enough stories for Kara and therefore let her go as a regular.
I thought she would have been great with the Justice League.

From: Rainy ass Seattle yes the weather sucks here, so do our sports teams.
Good and bad all in the same episode.

Tess Mercer rocks. It was very hard to replace Lex, and I had little faith in this show without one of the greatest comic book villains of all time. But having Tess is great, a most excellent replacement to Lex.

Mostly good from my view.

I also think Tess is great. Any word if they will do a Smallville spinoff like a JL show?

so is Doomsday Zod's son in the comic book universe? I wasn't expecting that. And the more he dies the stronger he becomes?

No, yes. New origin is pretty cool though, word is DC approves of the changes, so hopefully Smallville can pull it off.

Sort of, he can't be killed the same way twice. That the way it is in the comic book and seeing the ending it looks like they're taking it that way here as well.

Maybe it was just the poor quality of last season but I'm really enjoying where this season is heading. It of course helps that Clark and Lois are getting so much screen time.

Neat. So Clark will have to a) punch, b) freeze, c) laser, d) etc etc

Ok , and mind you I haven't watch this ep yet and I'm behind on my Superman Comic reading...

Based on this comment about DC approvals/Doomsday, and something I saw in an issue of Final Crisis with Martin Manhunter recounting his history where apparently he spent a summer as a Black farmhand on the Kent farm in Kansas, I was wondering if they're now changing things so that the comics and Smallville are closer in terms of history?

I never liked the MM aspect of Smallville because I was never aware of any history between MM, Jor-El, and young Kal-El. So when I read that I wondered if DC was trying to sync up things.

I really liked this episode and this is my favorite season. The new show runners have done a great job at translating the mythos for the small screen. Smallville has once again become a show I look forward too and that hasn't happened since the first season.

Another good epsiode.

A lot of hot this season too.

I had forgotten about Davis, but I like how they're adding in the Zod's son angle. Original and it fits nicely.

Not his son...his creation, only son in the sense that he's their legacy.
