Vince is an experienced movie star, with one of the biggest hits in history. It seems out of character for him to be pussified in the presence of non-star Jason Patric. And Eric not standing up for him either.
Did not care at all for Ari's storyline.

"Revenge is a dish best served a la commode."
Ari lets his personal feelings to take on a loser friend (clouded personal judgment, and Ari only did the financial legwork).
Vince takes a stand against the line-stealer, but ends up with pie on his face, so to speak.
The line about sequels and water by Jason Patric was ironic (given his Speed 2 pedigree).

it was prob intentional. Also, this was Vince's first day right. IA guess we can assume that vince got the part mid production (it happens) and with it being a semi big budget movie, the script gets changed every day or every other day.

Ummm, so Vince isn't used to a big budget? Was Aquaman some little independent movie? Vince was a fucking huge star. I bet most people couldn't pick Jason Patric out of a lineup.

I liked the Ari story line, this goes along with why he chose to be in business for himself.
I also liked the smoke jumper story line - I imagined what I would do in that situation... kind of like when you show up for a new job, you know they want you because they hired you - but you are replaceable if you don't get a long with others and make too much noise.

Mediocre ep. Ari's stuff seemed like it could be good. As for the movie, it seems weird that people tolerate Turtle and Drama constantly hanging out on the set doing nothing all day. I understand bringing them along to the location, to stay in the hotel/lodgings. But come on, you'd think that if Vince was trying to go for a fresh start, he would try to be professional and not bring his friends along who end up dicking around with the other actors.

I like how this episode showed us the ongoings and troubles of filming, besides the first episode in season 3 or whatever for Medillin where Walsh consumed everything.

I agree, I like when they show Vince (or even Drama) while they're actually working. It's so rare to see that.
So how much time has passed between the studio buying the script and the first day of shooting? 2 months? 4 months? It's laughable they went to the first day of shooting this quickly. It would've taken at the very least a year... but realistically more. It's been done a few times before, so I guess I should be used to how amazingly unrealistic things are in the show.
And Jason Patric is not a bankable star for a big budget film. It would've made more sense to give Vince the lead - he's only had one flop film, and is the star of the "highest grossing film of all time" only 2 years earlier.

Worst episode of a season i've loved.
The director gives Jason Patrick lines over Vince? Please. And Drama was just annoying. And why the hell were they wearing yellow shirts? Surely they'd be in full fireman gear?

Why? Has Vince been proven to be a particularly great actor? If Vince was shoved down the director's throat by the studio, why wouldn't he shift Vince's lines to an actor he wanted?
Where was Herzog? The director was played by Stellan Skarsgard, although he's obviously channeling Herzog.
