Chuck -- "Chuck Versus Tom Sawyer" -- 10/27/08

Chuck S2

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Being a spy begins to have a deleterious effect on Chuck, particularly when he must take on global terrorists who are targeting a most-unlikely person: offbeat Buy More staffer Jeff. Worse, it appears Jeff could be a key player in the prevention of World War III, with the very fate of the world resting in his hands. Tony Hale guest stars.

Tony Hale is...awesome!

anyone else think the pic of Ryan McPartlin looks like a young Bob Saget in the opening credits?

Anyone know the song that played at the end when Chuck and Sara were having a beer?

"Easy man. I've got all the 'Rush' albums on my Zune."

"You have a Zune?"

"Haha. No. That's crazy talk. I'll get my iPod."

This episode was an all-out masterpiece. They better have made a deal to keep the Rush (and other) music for the DVD release.

Reminded me fondly of my days at the local 7-11 playing Galaga until I turned it over at the 1,000,000 point mark. Playing for hours on one quarter. Yes, I was one of those people.

Not my favorite of this season (especially after last week), but still an entertaining episode.

Casey: Those guys would be in their 40's, a wife, and kids
(Chuck shakes head "NO")

Sarah's Nerd Herd outfit

From the preview (in two weeks )
Spoiler:

Chuck (referring to Jill): She slept with Bryce Larkin!
Casey: Hmph. Who hasn't.
(Sarah looks pissed)

This cap isn't the highest quality, but those rear ends are.

And one of the sexiest Nerdette ever.

Anyone know where I can get the complete video clip of Sarah making an entrance in the Nerd Herd outfit? I must have replayed it 10 times on my PVR last night.

I think this was quite possibly the best episode of "Chuck" yet. The Zune exchange still has me laughing, and holy crap, Stan Bush out of nowhere! Awesome. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows ever.

Any other run of the mill network show would have gone with a generic sounding video game company, a knock-off "sounds familiar" video game name, and a stock 80s synthesizer beat. Instead we get Atari, Missile Command, and "Tom Sawyer." Holy cow.

I have to agree, it was pretty perfect.

I liked the "cool Indian" line and Casey's reaction to the "Blood and Guts" speech...

I loved the whole flashback playing off of the Fast Times bit with Spicoli at the beach and the "tasty waves." Then, they call back to it with, "Hey bud, let's party," as Jeff finally plays the game again after 25 years.

The reaction to the guy in the Rush jacket when Tom Sawyer comes over the speakers was priceless.

Awesome episode.

I was laughing when Casey was dressed as a member of the Nerd Herd and bitching to Chuck about it.

Awesome entrance by Sarah in the hot Nerd Herd blouse and skirt.....whew!!

The music was great in this episode even the creepy Anna Wu Air Supply montage.
