Figured it was just common knowledge.

I was never a huge fan of this show, but this episode was a classic and perhaps the best episode of the series. I thought of the flick King of Kong throughout the episode.

I was hoping the end would be Jeff getting to the kill screen and jotting down the code for some sinister unknown reason.

Probably my least favorite episode of the series. Rush ruined the whole thing. They suck that much.

What? Two pages in and no one's mentioned the name of the terrorist guy that was chasing Jeff?

I liked the episode overall, but I don't want to see the supporting characters get too much play (unless it is Ellie). I hate Rush, but Tom Sawyer is the only song of theirs that I can stand in small doses.

I'll never understand how people can hate Rush so much.

Funny, I never have understood how someone could like Rush and I am a huge 70's Prog Rock fan. The episode was great.

Yeah, but I'm talking DESPISE here. There are bands I don't like and I just don't listen to them. For some reason though, Rush-haters feel the need to let everyone know just how much they HATE them.

I thought it was a great episode as well - but I kept thinking that Missile Command came out before Tom Sawyer. And after a quick google, I think I am right. Missle command release was 1980, Tom Sawyer, 1981. Honestly, I thought it was by several years because I did not know of, listen to RUSH before about 1983.

I missed the guys reaction in the jacket when the song came on, I hope I didn't delete!

I have no opinion of Rush whatsoever, but I like "Tom Sawyer".

And this was a damn good episode.

For me, it's not so much his voice, but the whole sound of the band. Plus being Canadian, Rush was shoved down my throat for years by music programmers that wanted to make their Cancon requirements.

this may simply have been the best hour of television ever! I got the connections in the episode and thought they were funny. I can only imagine how funny if you knew the reference (missile command). That said I can't believe they used a song from Transformers the movie and a line from Top Gun to boot! And thanks for the new wallpaper on my phone. :drool:

Atari also isn't even Atari anymore and hasnt been for years now. Another company bought the name and logo and started pumping out dragon ball z games every year (amongst other games).

Great episode though. I wish I started watching when the show first premiered last year. Only started watching this season.

Best line of the series.
