10/21 Nova: Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives (for fans of Physics an the Eels!)
I've been wanting to see this for a while, but tonight on Nova they are showing the documentary Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives.
This follows the lead singer of the band the Eels (Mark Everett) as he tries to understand his fathers life. His father, Hugh Everett, was the "creator of a radical theory of quantum physics."

Anyway, I thought maybe some of you would be interested in this.

I read about this a few days ago in one of the newspapers I read (it may have been the USA Today), and was very excited. I had actually forgotten about this, so I greatly appreciate you posting this.

Saw this the first time around and it's basically a family story. I was hoping they would delve at least a little into Everett's very interesting concepts but nope. Still, an interesting documentary.
And for you Fringe fans, I think Abrams borrowed Hugh Everett's "many worlds" interpretation of quantum mechanics as a basis for Fringe's alternate realities.
Interestingly enough, I think that Abrams also borrowed ideas from yet another physicist -- Everett's very own mentor John Wheeler -- for another of his projects: Lost. I'm sure that Abrams used Wheeler's (and another of his students, Kip Thorne's) ideas of wormholes to create his mysterious island.
