Need Help---Tivo Recording Problems

I have an issue that I could use some help with on one of my Directv DVR's with Tivo.

This has happened 4 or 5 times already. Last Thursday one of the 2 tuners on my Tivo was set to record Survivor, CSI and Eleventh Hour.

When I returned home that night to view my recordings and went to my "Now Playing" I noticed that all 3 recordings had a Duration 0:00 (partial). Once I hit play, nothing showed up and the message "Do you want to delete this program" pops up right away. Basically nothing was recorded even though Tivo said it recorded them, however my other tuner managed to record 2 other shows with no trouble.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Do I need to re-boot? Did my other tuner freeze and get stuck?

When I had these kinds of problems with my DirecTiVo, it was because the hard drive was starting to go bad.

Other symptoms to watch out for: starting to record late, ending early, reboots, picture break-up (that's not due to the signal).

Is this the HD DirecTiVo? They're known for having bad hard drives.

I know that the HD Directv DVR is having MAJOR issues with this.. if you go on DBS you can read all about it.
Tivo's are not known to do this unless they're going bad...
you can try switching the cables in the back... (turner 1 to turner 2 ....)
another thing you can try is a reset.
