This episode makes a direct connection to a previous episode from years back:

What is Sara doing now that she's left Vegas? Clearly she's not emotionally suited to CSI work anymore.

The hypnosis case had me wondering. The Mythbusters did a piece on people being hypnotized to do things that were against their basic nature and determined it was not possible. This episode had me wondering if maybe Jamie and Adam have to take another swing at that one.

I wonder how much time passed between last night's cases and Warrick's death. Th CSI team seemed to be over his death. Why was Sara given so much access to a homicide investigation if she's no longer a CSI?

OK, I have been here for several years and have no idea how to use a spoiler.

I think the synopsis is wrong.

I also think that Fox has gained enough weight to not look scary thin now.

True, the synopsis is a little off, but not by much.

If you want to spoiler-tag your post, look at the following image I've made showing you how:

She worked the case eight years prior and knew the parties involved. It's not like she was some stranger to the department.

not that much discussion for CSI opener.

I didn't like that they brought this old case back, without devoting a good amount of time to the back story to refresh my memory.

I forgot that Warick died
