Another fantastic episode, and a great character builder and arc episode as opposed to an all out hilarious episode like the premier was. Although this did feature the Jim/Andy "Battlestar Galactica" conversation, and that was the funniest minute or so of TV in a long while.

Angela admitting she called INS about Oscar
I loved how they started the meeting talking about the one employee's unethical behavior and the camera swung around to Ryan

I loved that Jim just happened to have a stop watch with him to record the time that Dwight was using for personal things. Then he caught the affair even though he's not aware what Dwight was doing.

I liked this episode, too. Even if it wasn't especially funny, it had more good character development, which I always support. So far this season, the show seems to be consciously trying to get back to the formula that made it so great in the earlier seasons (Season 1 and 2) - ie, scaled down plots that dwell more on what is going with the characters within the office, rather than extending to extraneous settings and situations. I really think the show works much, MUCH better when it sticks with the smaller scale approach.
I agree, and I've been enjoying this season much more than last year.
Dwights look at the camera after being caught stealing time was classic.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one as it had a lot of great laughs. My only disappointment was the end. It seemed like they didn't know how to end it so quickly, so I'd concur with you there.

There were TONS of amazing lines in this episode. I thought it was funny start to finish.

Very solid episode, but still a tiny bit of a let down. With the huge opener they had, and a two week break, I guess I just expected too much from them.
That being said, some really hysterical stuff. I lost it on all of the Jim/Dwight stuff.

Finally! A funny episode this season.
The interaction between Jim & Dwight had me rolling in the aisle. There is kind of a nativity in Dwight that always gets him in trouble by what he says.
And Michael is loyal to a fault regarding his employees. I think it was really unrealistic that the head of HR disagreed with the new HR rep.
I hope the writing in this seasons episodes are at least at this same comedy level.

Actually having been present for more than a few companies that were about to go under, that type of disagreement is quite common. The worse that things get for the company the more you get arguments about what is and isn't ethical in regards to keeping the company afloat and saving peoples jobs.

Bring it on!
I thought this was a pretty good ep. I loved corporate's reaction to how Meredith gets that discount. I hate to see Amy Ryan go, but it's clearly going to happen soon. Holly and Michael really work well together. They would be the ultimate Office couple, but it probably won't be happening.
