Gonna give Deanna Russo some love on this episode thread.

Synopsis:

I tried watching last week but couldn't make it through. This week I'm working and turned it on on mute. Much better show when I can just look at Deanna Russo in her various outfits.

I hate to say it but I'm going to have to start Tivoing this just so I can watch her run around in HD.

If Deanna Russo is the only reason people are watching this show and the ratings were bad for the first episode last week, I don't give this show very long.

My favorite part was when he turbo boosted and transformed and then broke. And I don't remember anything else.

My fav part was the just busted up red lambo roadster kit car built on top of who knows what.. It looked bad in distance shots but close up HD it was like 80's shag carpet falling off the speaker box and mis-matched scratched up tail lights.. lol

some where the cars from the movie -The Wraith- are going "Hey, maybe we were not THAT bad after all!"

Now can this KITT only haul ass in pursuit mode? The original could've taken that car in the race easily, before hitting the season 4 super pursuit mode button. And the truck has to go. Along with the whole team. The loner aspect is much better.

This show definitely brings the eye candy. Since there is nothing else that I watch from 8-9, it makes for good background tv.

I'm just wondering how many episodes it will be before they introduce KARR.

Next week during a chase in the city KITT transforms into a Ford Escort in order to fit down a narrow alleyway.

Seriously though the transforming crap, the fast and furious pursuit mode, and quite a bit of other stuff just ruins the show for me. Surgery in the glove box. Key maker in the back seat. Val Kilmer.

I read an article with the producers saying in the day and age a bulletproof, talking car just doesnt cut it, but damn, they could tone it down a little bit.

and the racing scene at the begining was just too crappily done. the movie screen showing scenery behind a crappy looking prop car interior is so 1970s tech

Do you like hot chicks in bikinis? If so, yes. But then you can jump about 1/3 in and delete it about 2/3 in.

Are you referring to the KR logo on the car itself? It stands for King of the Road. Which is the model above the "regular" GT500.

I don't even know why I watched that. It really irks me when their racing or chasing another car their having normal conversations as if there is no urgency in the situation. I'm done.

I dont expect this show to last long so will enjoy a bit while i can. Each episode is pretty much stand alone so if i miss one no big deal. Do think KITT and Michael could take off at some point due to their hiding his past from him.

Well at least we know know why this show did better last night than Pushing Daisies.
One word....
Boobs.

Olive is holding her own in the boobs category.

It looks like a lot of the driving scenes are done on a blue screen. Horrible.

I noticed Sung Kang (Hans from The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift) was playing a street racer again.

Why does KITT needs to be on the gyroscope platform? Rotating all over the place, would fluids would be leaking out.

Emboldened by the success of its Monday night comedy lineup and deciding to zig when everyone else is zagging, CBS is trying to launch a comedy beachhead on Wednesday nights.

While the network will probably succeed there, too bad it doesn't have NBC's "Knight Rider" to stick into the 9 p.m. slot since it's likely to be the season's funniest sitcom.

Even though "Knight Rider" is allegedly a drama.

"Knight Rider," which also premieres today (going up against CBS' comedy block of "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Gary Unmarried"), is heinously bad. It's the kind of bad that sells cheese or gets entertainment presidents fired - one or the other, or both.

Of course, anyone who would watch "Knight Rider" anyway - given the show's history of low expectations and the NBC movie that reinvented it - probably knows what they're getting into and won't mind that it's spectacularly awful. For some people, taste is not a choice in life.

No doubt it's a waste of effort and space to get worked up about how asinine "Knight Rider" is. In fact, its mere existence could hint at a devious plot by NBC to see which critics across the country will take the bait and flail away at it like a pinata of stupidity. (For example, someone might say that "Knight Rider" makes "Baywatch" look like it was made by Paul Thomas Anderson.)

Though you'd be better served watching the CBS comedy block, there's no denying that "Knight Rider" offers up a rare opportunity for an extremely quick drinking game.

The only rule would be that if you see something jaw-dropping bad - the acting, the writing or the special effects - then you take a drink immediately. Minutes to complete black out: T-minus five.

Maybe four if you gulp.

Whatever you do, don't TiVo this thing or you'll be in rehab before midseason.

It's not difficult to understand what went through the air-filled minds of NBC executives on this one.

First, it's a slick car commercial for a brand not to be mentioned.

Second, as probably the dumbest show of the season (and, yes, that includes Fox's stupendously witless "Do Not Disturb"), "Knight Rider" fits perfectly as a lead-in to "Deal or No Deal," the dumbest reality series in America. It's a masterstroke of programming at the Peacock network.

Third, maybe stoned and bored guys will watch. Advertisers like to sell products to stoned and bored guys.

And lastly, more than just an overproduced cartoon, "Knight Rider" could be the kind of series that gets dissected in future years as a work of weird genius, because it manages to be dramatically absurd within moments of coming on your TV screen and never once hints that it's trying to be intentionally ludicrous.

How many series can do that? You've got 1960s-era "Batman" fights, a car that talks, guns that go off, CGI explosions and the lead actress strips down to her underwear before the first commercial break. They must be very proud over at NBC. And yet, just in case this series was not intended to be so hilariously unwatchable, no names of people involved have been used in this review.

i thought this episode was a definite improvement

This show is disappointing on SO many levels, but I will continue to watch it with the hope that it improves.

As an aside, I don't want Michael and KITT to EVER show up (as has been discussed by nerds everywhere). God knows how those characters would be treated. They'd probably say that KITT's original body had been damaged or lost in storage or something ridiculous and they had to replace it with some random FORD model that the company's having a hard time selling. <Cue a 10-minute scene/commercial of the "awesome" new car>

I'm convinced that this show is a thinly veiled T&A show. It's shameless really. In the first episode, it was the retarded napalm that made them strip to their underwear in the car. In this episode, they just HAD to go to a playboy mansion to steal a car. Next episode takes place at a beach. The two "techs" seem to exist solely to speak in double entendres or just outright off-hand juvenile humor.

The pilot movie was actually OK, if not particularly great. The series has been some of the most gratuitous and inane drivel I've ever seen. It's like they realized that man+supercar+nostalgia was not enough to sustain a show and felt like the only way to save it was to sex it up.

I haven't been able to finish the second episode yet, but I'm done with this series.

So they copied the other Hasselhoff tv series?
