And the first cancellation is....

From EW:

And the award for first cancellation of the new fall season goes to...Fox's Do Not Disturb!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the critically savaged sitcom, starring a slumming Jerry O'Connell and Niecy Nash, has been axed after three low-rated episodes. The show's Wednesday time slot will be filled with repeats of 'Til Death, which upgrades the network's 9 to 10 p.m. comedy block from excruciatingly painful to unbearably painful. (And yes, that is an upgrade, albeit a very slight one.)

A Fox insider insists no official decision has been made re: Do Not Disturb's fate.

News comes just days after the show's producers publicly apologized for making such a crappy show.

All's forgiven!

I hate O'Connell, but I could handle him on Carpoolers. I miss that show

I still don't get what has Jerry O'connell done that keeps him working and bagging a babe like Rebecca.

Since My Own Worst Enemy doesnt debut until the middle of October, i dont see it being third to get cancelled. Surely something else will suck before then.

Same here. I half expected it to be Fringe then I was like, "What is that?"

Then again, I was never a big fan of Til Death either.

One of the worst pilots I have ever seen before. So damn glad.

Wonder if Fox is second-guessing canceling Back to You now?

Wow, to get cancelled before half the fall shows have even premiered. The promos looked awful, so no real surprise.

I think the other new CBS sitcom with Jay Mohr looks more like an early cancellation candidate. At least Worst Week has a cushy timeslot.

Fox made the right call by getting rid of Do Not Disturb. I didn't even get to the first commercial in the pilot before I turned it off. Worst Week should be next.

I never did get around to checking it out, and now I'm glad I didn't.

Jerry needs a do a Sliders reunion movie. That I'd watch.

I watched the eps but I'm not shocked. Both Do not Disturb and the hopefully soon to be canceled 'Til Death, are shows that seem to not take advantage of the talented folks on the show.

The writing was lame and childish.

Never heard of it. I'm sure I wouldn't have watched anyway.

Nice of the producers to apologize for it before it was cancelled. That's not a slap in the face to the cast & crew.

I like 'till Death, but since they seem to have gotten rid of the neighbors and replaced them with J.B. Smoove, I'm just not liking it as much. Kat Foster was one of the main reasons I liked the show.

I think she might be the hottest neighbor in tv history

I watched the pilot for this. Definitely not surprised it was given the axe.

Poor Jerry, I think I read somewhere that this was his second cancellation this year. He still has an amazingly hot wife to run home too so all is good for him.
