I really wish they would do something small scale like they did with Season 1 instead of another "Let's take over the US again" storyline.

Uhhh, did you watch the trailer? Jack's in Africa in exile fighting rebels.

This movie is far from the repetition that alot of you have complained about from past seasons. I think it's probably the most ambitious project the 24 creative team has worked on.

Season 7 is going to take place in Washington DC far away from the ridiculouslness of terror threats every year in Los Angeles.

Every time I watch that clip I keep waiting for LOST's Mr. Eko to show up and beat the snot out of Jack.

Tony Todd? Sweet. I wonder if he will make it to the season.

Didn't he play the cop who was looking into Alan Milliken's death in Season 3?

The trailer looks great. Sure is nice to have a different storyline.

I don't like the "white man saves black people in Africa" tired storyline.

While it looks action packed, I just don't see how a two hour movie fits into the "24" universe. I give them an A for effort, though.

I'll watch, but I'm not too excited after watching that trailer. It looks like the writers are trying too hard to come up with something new. oh well, I don't have much hope left for this show so we'll see what happens.

Remember it's still television, not a feature film.

Can't compare it to anything else on tv as it beats it.

Thank God it's not taking place in LA for once. Looks like it could be interesting, along the lines of a few of the spy thrillers we've seen in the theaters lately.

Just a heads-up for TiVo users:

1) 24: Redemption will not appear on your 24 season pass. Be sure to schedule it.
2) It's now in your program list.
3) Also look for 24: The Making of Redemption on FOX

I saw the TV movie a few weeks back...it's so-so. It's certainly not the "comeback" we were hoping for, but it does properly set up some of the characters we'll see in Season 7. Ironically the best stuff happens back in Washington, away from Jack. The Africa story is basically just there to give Jack a reason to return to the U.S.

Spoiler:
He's been subpoenaed to appear in Federal Court, and apparantly has been avoiding the subpoena for quite some time.

The DVD will apparently be a two disk set which is really cool. Also the cast is pretty impressive.
