Those F'in litterbugs! I guess the campaign with the Indian shedding a tear over the litter was from the 70's.
Betty finally gets wind of Don's infidelity and her reaction in the new caddy was great.
Not sure if I ever knew that Sal really had it so bad for Cosgrove, but it was sure palpable at Sal's place. His poor wife (the actress used to play Hannah on Everwood a few years ago) will be probably devastated if Sal ever comes out of the closet.
Joan and Jane, I suspect lots more staredowns between them.
Duck is getting left behind professionally as Don ascends up the corporate ladder. Duck knows it, and pretty soon everyone else will notice it too.

This was awesome television. I loved the whole buying a Caddy, moving up the ladder, "success" angle v. the "You're trash and you know it" ending w/the vomit all over his new car.

Didn't Don also have the same look on his face in the flashback when the woman said "You aren't Don Draper" as he did when Jimmy went off on him? I liked how they did that with Don being "found out" in both instances.

That moment with Sal watching tv with his wife...he looks over at her, doing her needlepoint...the misery on his face is so powerful.
Also, I thought it was hilarious that Don had been a used car salesman!
The Jimmy Barrett character is just really so well done. He is a dead on perfect 60s insult comedian. He's not very likeable, but he just owns the screen when he is on it, there is so much tension because he really seems capable of losing it, at any given moment, for any reason. You can feel the other characters tense up when he is in the scene. Even the look of the guy is perfect!
And how Christina Hendricks walks without toppling over, I have no idea!

What was Betty referring to when she said to Mr Barrett: "You people are filthy trash" or words to that effect? It seemed like she was referring to ethnicity, but I didn't pick up on anything. Jewish?

Also are we certain that Sal is married?

I thought it was a pretty clear anti-Semitic slur on her part. Didn't Mrs. Barrett reveal in an earlier episode that Jimmy had changed his name from something that was obviously Jewish?

"Knowing" Betty as we do, I really think she meant "show people" and not Jews, but the beauty of the line is that there's no way Jimmy would know that for sure. So, while we can assume her innocence, he can't.
