How do you think The Shield will end?
With the series coming to a close, I thought it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on what you think will happen by the end of The Shield. I think shane will end up sacrificing himself to save vic. Thats where it seems like the show is headed. Wouldn't be surprised if Ronnie gets killed as well. Vic will most likely walk away somehow (for a possible movie) not sure about the other characters yet. what do you guys think?

I think Vic will survive by the skin of his teeth all of this drama and hoopla, then at the very end, say months later, while back on the streets, he's simply shot dead by some 12 year old wannabee gangbanger doing a routine ganginitiation thing.... that his death ultimately just becomes a random senseless act of violence,. very hollow, quick, pointless. fade to black. the end.

Shane dies in a way that redeems him partially (but only partially).
Vic goes to jail, possibly for something not nearly as bad as his worst behavior.
Ronnie heads a new generation of the Strike Team.
The dark variant:
Ronnie dies in a heroic way (like saving Vic)
Vic goes to jail
Shane leads a new Strike Team

I'm hoping that they given a finale conclusion for every character except VIC. I really think the ambiguity within that character is what the show is really about at the core. Let them end things with an open ending and have fans decide what fate he deserves.
The realist in me thinks they'll write that Vic and Shane will survive, but both will lose their family as result. They wrote that as the ending for Vic in season one, and did so because they didn't know if they were going to be picked up for a second season. I can see them doing something similiar again.
Acevada will probably be outed as corrupt as well. I also think the show will end with a giant scandal similiar to Rampart that might shut the barn down.

Vic will take his ex and their kids to a restaraunt, pop a couple quarters into the jukebox to get a Journey song playing, and, as his oldest daughter is walking through the door, Vic will loo

In one of the first seasons, didn't we see Vic's first partner. He was retired, family had left, living in a motel, working some lousy job (like security guard or PI).
I think that's how this will end. Vic will be alone, broke, friendless, unemployed, and with nothing to look forward to. But he'll be alive.
I'm guessing the other two will be dead, in jail, or on the run from cops or the mob.

I think Vic ends up in charge of the Barn. Figure safest way to keep him off the streets is put him in as the head man. Ronnie gets to run the special unit.
Or, one of Vic's kids gets killed by accident and Vic walks into their headquarters strapped with a bomb and blows them all to hell.

A killer comet takes out the Barn while everyone is inside giving Vic a birthday party, which he is late to, and therefore he has to be the sole cop in the Rampart district. Vic essentially becomes a short, bald Batman.

I think it going to end a lot like The Sopranos, everyone expecting one thing and getting thrown a huge curve ball.

I don't know, but I'll tell you what happens after the show ends: Billings and Dutch each decide to get new digs and both set their sights on the same apartment. But neither man refuses to let the other have it, so they decide to become roomates. Antwon Mitchell, out on work release, is their next-door neighbor who always has some whacky, get-rich-quick scheme each week, which usually gets Billings' attention, while Tina will be their other neighbor, the hot, single woman, which usually gets Dutch's attention. Hijinks ensue.
Spinoff, people! Tell me that wouldn't work. Just need a title...

I'm predicting that half of the viewers will call the finale a work of GENIUS, and the other half will scream LETDOWN.
Followed by the GENIUS faction calling into question the intelligence of the LETDOWN faction, which will then mean the LETDOWN faction accusing the GENIUS faction of being brainless disciples.
And so on...

If they do kill Vic off, maybe they'll have Terry's brother do it.

Shane will get offed near the end of the season either protecting Vic or his family.
Aceveda will get brought down for being corrupt by Mackey
Vic manages to keep his job by bringing down Aceveda
Ronnie (always being the smartest member of the strike team) knowing he will always be in danger of being sent to jail for things he's done w/ Vic, in a scene filmed exactly like the final scene of the Pilot episode, shoots Mackey in the head. We'll see a close up of Vic bleeding (just like Terry) - then cuts to a worm's eye view of Ronnie standing above him. Cut to credits..
