That's what I meant. It was hilarious that they passed that off as something he built.

Seems like they just tacked on the parents fight at the end there as a way of writing Estes off.

Re: 90210 -- Season Finale -- "Confessions" -- 05/18/10
What the Heck Happened to That "Mind-Blowing" 90210 Finale?!
OK, it's not like our expectations were Lost finale-high, but after 90210's Shenae Grimes, Annalynne McCord and Trevor Donovan promised us a "crazy" season ender with loads of cliffhangers, we expected some juicy stuff—none of which really transpired! So what gives? We were purposely mislead? Not so, says our source. Here's what happened to the 90210 finale that never was... What Went Missing: Ummm, how about the whole "who really ran over that homeless guy" storyline?! Back in March, Trevor told us the season two finale would answer the question left open from season one's final ep. "In one of the last scenes of the finale, you find out who actually hit the homeless guy," he teased. "I can guarantee it comes out of left field." But come finale night, the only thing remotely left fieldish was the complete exclusion of said reveal. How do you explain that one, CW?! According to our reliable 90210 source, some story changes were made post-production (and post-press tour in Trevor's case), and the rumored "real" killer twist was canned. In the end, Annie made peace with her crime, largely due to an encouraging chat with Liam (Matt Lanter), and solemnly wandered home to confess everything to the 'rents. And that's it. If you're hoping to see more of Annie's hit-and-run issues in season three, don't. The Powers that Be are leaving the story as is from here on out?Annie was in fact the drunk driving guilty party. Bright side? Now that she's got that monkey off her back, maybe we'll get to see a fun and carefree Annie, again. AnnaLynne McCord, Matt Lanter, 90210 Jordin Althaus/The CW What Actually Happened: Annalynne and Shenae both promised "the worst thing in the world" would fall on Naomi's shoulders, and lo and behold, the poor girl was seemingly raped by the creepy teacher she falsely accused of sexual harassment earlier in the season. So...there's that. Side note: not that we need lots of gory details, but the whole scene was pretty tame for what we were advised to prep for. What About Rob Estes?! Principal Wilson is officially out of the hiz-ouse. For those 90210ers awaiting a proper sendoff for the family patriarch, we have some bad news?there was never a big to-do planned for Rob's final days on the show, and we won't see him again. Let's start guessing now: who will replace West Bev's sexy principal in the new season? And how will the premiere explain Harry's sudden absence? Time will tell. Now it's your turn to sound off. Did the finale satisfy, or did the story swaps fail to provide the much-hyped season ender? http://www.eonline.com |
90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10

Synopsis: Spoiler:
Earthquake in Beverly Hills... I was also behind shortly after the season ended, but got caught up soon afterwards. So, this is where the show left off in case your memory is a little foggy: 1) Harry gets canned as Principal for covering up for Dixon. He and Debbie argue and are done. Rob Estes left the show after last season. 2) Dixon sneaks off with Ivy to Australia. 3) Liam and Jasper get into a big fight. 4) Annie (still hate the bitch) confesses to Harry and Debbie about killing the bum from season 1. 5) Naomi is about to get raped by the Journalism teacher she accused of sexually harrassing her. 6) Adrianna goes off with Javier to New York. Navid is left hanging. Just another day in Beverly Hills, California. |
Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
Now this is one that I'm glad is back. With as much as I hate Annie and to a lesser extent Dixon the other characters just make this a fun show.

Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
It would be one of those awesome moments in TV if they kill Rob Estes's character in the earthquake. Can't think of a way to write him out without explaining why family members are still there. Sure, they could divorce & say he moved away. I guess they could still have the character there but he just isn't in scenes. Nope. Lets kill him but not a regular car accident/health issue...kill him with a earthquake!!! The only way it would be more awesome if they said he went back to Kanasas & a tornado got him!

Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
Damn, I'd totally forgotten any of those cliffhangers from last season.

Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
I remembered the last 2, since those characters are actually interesting.

You should probably SPOILER that. I already knew it but others may not. I'm not sure how far into the season that will happen. It may not be in tonight's episode.

Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
I don't watch this show, but my wife does, I guess I could just ask her, but then again that means we'd have to actually talk (rimshot), but does the title mean that these characters are already in their senior years in the 2nd season of this show? what happens if it goes 3, 4, 5 seasons?

Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
This is the 3rd season.
Incidentally, the original 90210 had them Juniors twice: 1st and 2nd seasons. They were Seniors in S3, S4-7 were college, then S8-10 was post-college. |

rest of this ep was some pretty cheesy writing too. I mean come on.. the tennis guy having to play every game so he can "go pro".. When tennis is an open format and it doesn't matter if or where you play or that anyone sees to play.. Random song book that someone can "steal" as if no one else will know they wrote some given song or hear it before.. etc etc.. then again, part of the charm of these sort of shows is that they are cheesy like that. Well that and AnnaLynne McCord dancing around in something skimpy helps too I would guess.. |
Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
Really cheesy premiere. Lots of unintentional humor and bad writing. I was entertained, yet there were so many eye rolling moments.
rotfl at Teddy tearing his ACL after having a book shelf fall on it during the earthquake. Loved his overacting on the tennis court. -ohbfrank- at the lame ass stunt casting of the Kardashian sisters. at the car accident killing off Javier and giving Adrianna the perfect opportunity to steal his songs. Annie was surprisingly tolerable. Not surprised at all she hooked up with Liam. Naomi proposing a 4-way with those guys and dancing around in her bra and panties. She has zero evidence against that teacher. |
Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
:thmbsdwn: Not a fan at all of Ivy's douchey friend with the accent who's banging her Mom.

Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
I'm assuming they will address it at some point, but they made no mention about how the young teacher got out of the mess he made. There was nothing about what happened after he stole a bus and crashed into the sign starting a fire at the school. Or did I miss something?

I'm pretty sure all the guys are gay. At least by the way they dress, they could all be gay. Pretty blah episode. |
Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
After checking out the season premiere, this show is on low-priority viewing for me, mainly because the characters are pretty uninteresting, and the new characters are worse. At least Jessica Stroup looks to have regain some weight on her frame after getting so skinny last season trying to look like a teenager, though she's 5-6 years older than Silver is on the show.
Edited: I was right about the weight gain: http://theskinnywebsite.com/site/201...ransformation/ |

Annoys me all the more that of all the CW soaps, MP was the one that got lower ratings and ultimately canned. |
Re: 90210 -- Season Premiere -- "Senior Year, Baby" -- 09/13/10
I think the horrible subplot/acting of Violet/Ashley Simpson tanked MP last year, plus half of the characters were also too vanilla. Katie was fun to watch on MP, though.
