There was a Dr. Pepper ad in the lunchroom. I couldn't stop staring at it.

Re: 90210 -- "Help Me, Rhonda" -- 2/3/09
Aimee Teegarden is on 90210? That makes it two actresses from Friday Night Lights to show up on this show. And I was about to quit watching.

Rhonda rocks! Make her a regular! Awesome start for her.
Some cute moments with Navid and that girl and Erin and Dixon.
Marry me.
Okay.
So, you do love me?
I didn't say that.
.....
You love me.
Fine.
So Adrianna made the big news on the video PA, that takes guts. Wish they'd let her stick with the better hair do instead of the one that exposes the whole forehead.

Re: 90210 -- "Help Me, Rhonda" -- 2/3/09
Next Week on 90210
West Bev is shocked with a new teacher arrives - Dr. Pepper (played by Mr. Pibb). Annie takes an instant liking to Dr. Pepper while Dixon contemplates his sexuality because Dr. Pepper is just so good looking...and refreshing. Dr. Pepper brings along his son - trouble maker Diet Dr. Pepper - and the school has Dr. Pepper chugging contest.
I must have seen Dr. Pepper twenty times last night.

Re: 90210 -- "Help Me, Rhonda" -- 2/3/09
I saw 4 Dr. P logos onscreen in a single shot at one point last night. 4.......
I like Aimee Teegarden a lot, but did she look even younger here than on FNL to anyone else? I almost felt guilty for thinking she is hot.

Yeah, I counted the glasses, or at least the one I could see in that particular shot. I counted: the big ass obnoxious sign on the wall, a little placard on the table, another on the bar, and one on a glass.

Well she was in a hospital gown the whole episode, I don't think she looked any different. I hope she becomes a regular if Friday Night Lights is done.

Lots of girls going insane this week. Silver with the tat, Rhonda with the "you looked at me like that line", and the skinny one with the stealing of Rhonda's story.
Sad to say but I'm really starting to like this show.
Wait is Pete Ross showing up next week?

Another great episode. Really improving.
Rhonda was good. LOVED how Annie stole her story and Ethan found out.
Adrianna has a good hair week, whew. Navid came back to her, pretty quick.
I would like the name of the song when Erin and Dixon were in the room, please.
I read that Erin is
That will shock many!
Next episode, we get fast and furious. Can't wait.

Damn, Dixon hit the jackpot. A good-looking, crazy chick. Although if Ranger's spoiler is true, I take that back. I've gone out with someone who had that condition and it was maddening to say the least.
Not a bad episode. They kept the boring adults out of the picture(not counting Rob Estes' cameo at the end). Naomi was almost tolerable. And Annie got what she deserved.
I hope Aimee Teegarden sticks around. Yeah, her character isn't too different from Julie on Friday Night Lights(circa Season 1), but this show could use more of that and fewer CW types.

So no new episodes until March 31st? Damn
And my favorite character, Dr Pepper, once again was shown at least 15 times. After that, I stopped counting. I was almost positive Silver would tattoo a Dr. Pepper can on her ass.

Big changes for 90210 Season 2
Seems like a lot of people dropped the show within a few episodes and these changes just might pull them back in:
http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/03/...ive-90210.html
http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/03/...ive-90210.html
90210's new boss lady, Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, recently told me that the soap's second season would be "significantly" different than the first, and, man, she wasn't kidding.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Dustin Milligan, who plays affable jock (and one half of 90210's central super couple) Ethan, won't be returning to the show in the fall -- at least not full time.
Reps for The CW and producer Paramount declined comment, but a 90210 insider confirms that Milligan's contract option is not being picked up for next season. The source adds that the door is being left open for the actor to briefly appear in the fall to wrap up Ethan's story.
All indications are that Milligan's exit was strictly a creative decision. "Everyone loves Dustin," maintains the insider. "There was just a feeling that the character had run its course." (Curiously, the news comes just days after Milligan's newbie co-star, Matt Lanter -- a.k.a. bad boy Liam -- confirmed that he was being promoted to a series regular next season.)
The departure of one the show's most high profile leading men is the clearest indication yet that Sinclair's ongoing reboot of the reboot will be anything but minor. Viewers will get their first taste of the Gilmore Girl alum's new vision when 90210 returns from its winter hiatus this Wednesday with a hilariously campy outing that features the primetime soap trifecta: stalkers, street-racing, and scenery-chewing!
Looking ahead to season 2, Sinclair said last month that she wants to "reconceive things visually. There are opportunities to embrace California culture visually in terms of fashion and style; I want it to be more contemporary.
"If Gossip Girl is about youth in New York," she elaborated, "I want to [make 90210] about youth in L.A. and Beverly Hills."
The writer-producer also plans to rely less on 90210 vets such as Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling to boost ratings. "The show tried to be a lot of things to a lot of people in its first season," she conceded. "I think the center lies with the generation of kids that are in high school now. I'm not interested in casting people for stunt value."
Sinclair, who replaces original show-runners Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs, said the show will benefit from having a singular vision. "The advantage of having one person -- me -- [in charge] is that scripts, what happens on the set, casting... it all speaks in one voice."

I agree the show needs to rely less on regulars from the original. It needs to stand on its own, and become its own show. These changes make sense and should help the show.

I agree 100% with dropping Dustin Milligan as a series regular. He's a terrible actor and had zero chemistry with AnnaLynne McCord and is even worse with Shenae Grimes.
I think the new showrunner has a good vision for the show's future if it's going to survive and stand on it's own.
