Yeah, I haven't paid for TV besides 1 year in college when it was like 10$ for everything, but I am thinking about doing the Turbo HD thing. I just looked at the lineup, expecting it to be crap, but it pretty much has everything I want on the Bronze level. (I would need to get Silver so I can get Foxsports and watch baseball, but it looks like I could just do that for 2 months and then drop down to Bronze for a 5$ fee.) I wouldn't need to pay for all the other things, but I suppose the DVR thing could tempt me at $6 a month.

I haven't had paid tv in a while. There is a decent amount of network tv each night to watch/record thats free. And I figure the $50+ I save each month, I can use that to buy some seasons of cable shows on DVD, or at the very least pay for netflix or something and rent them that way. I don't watch a ton of tv as it is though.

The biggest impact is on my kids, who always complain there is nothing on to watch. Kind of miss having Nick/Disney/etc for them. Though its not a bad thing that kids aren't glued to the tv, but it does give for a nice parental break sometimes. We have some DVDs for them to watch though, but its not quite the same as letting them flip the channels and find a cartoon to watch.
