Really hope Mad Men and Jon Hamm win their respective categories. The first season of Mad Men was perhaps the most perfectly put together season of television I've ever seen.

Michael Emerson better win that statue. He deserves it.

I thought the Constant was a shoo-in for directing and writing. But, nicely surprised still to see it take noms instead for Series and Score.

Well, I was right in my prediction for Robin Williams' L&O:SVU nom for "Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series."

Absolute fucking shame The Wire didn't get recognized this year. Criminal, really.

Seriously, that film was good enough for theatrical release.
Agreed. It was awesome. Plus it would be nice to give a postumous Emmy to Sydney Pollock.
Tom Wilkinson was wonderful in it, but he probably had half the screen time that Dennis Leary had and yet he's nominated for best lead and Dennis is supporting. I can only suppose this was HBO's request so that Tom isn't competing against himself for John Adams. It doesn't matter anyway - Paul Giamatti is the most obvious slam-dunk winner since James Gandolfini last year.
