Secret Life of the American Teenager

Re: Secret Life of the American Teenager
I loved how Amy kept going on about how she wanted her mom to "keep the baby" and the sister finally asked her "What do you mean, keep the baby? Don't you mean watch the baby?" I loved it because I was thinking the exact same thing!

All criticism aside, the premiere got fantastic ratings! So they are definitely doing something right.
And I agree, Ashley definitely has the best one-liners on the show. She's my favorite character. And I think the actress that plays Amy has got the snotty teenage attitude nailed. Well done!

I actually enjoy these ABC family shows, but I think Greek is a much better show. My only complaint about Secret Life is it looks and feels just like 7th Heaven, but I guess thats no surprise coming from 7th Heaven creator Brenda Hampton.

I can see the similarities between 'Secret Life' and 'Seventh Heaven,' but I think 'Secret Life' has a lot more twists and turns. I watched last night's episode and I just felt like so much was happening - and things I didn't expect!
This show definitely holds my attention better.

At 7:00, the John Schneider character is watching the Dukes of Hazzard:

/\ She's pretty great in The Descendants. I have never watched this show, and only clicked because I figured someone had bumped about The Descendants.

i think there is a lot of unappreciated talent on SLOTAT and they bring some serious acting chops to the table.
the kid who plays Tom (or as some may uncharitably refer to him, "corky") would make a great Bond villain as he is positively Machiavellian on this show.
that Francesca Raisa, despite producing an Emeril worthy BAM every time she is onscreen with that body, could conceivably start taking roles away from Michelle Williams in small indie films. As i watched Wendy and Lucy , i imagined Raisa in the role and it would have been an effortless transition ( i mean for her to play Wendy, not the dog)
