Why doesn't FX air their stuff in HD? We need that threesome scene in 720p goodness.

Just watched it on crackle. I'm wondering if this is the same version FX aired, because I'm seeing nipples.

The 3-way scene with Tommy, Janet and Sheila was great. I've always thought that Callie Thorne has smoking hot bod.

The scene afterwards with the guys confronting Tommy and Garrity was also hystercal.

I was pretty impressed at how well they did this, if its on hulu I'm gonna try to watch it again. And yes, Callie Thorne is to die for

Is anyone else reminded of The Shield when they see commercials for Sons of Anarchy? It looks pretty good...

That's weird, I have a season pass for Rescue Me and both episodes were recorded.

Just manually set your DVR to record FX at 7pm or 10pm for 5 mins. on Tuesday (depending if you get the East Coast or West Coast feed)

Worst case scenario, just watch them on Crackle.com or Hulu.com

So far, these are 2-2 in terms of quality. Hopefully that's a sign for things to come for this upcoming season.

I still have my doubts. Sure, these minisodes have been good so far, but when the 5 minute clip is all there is, it will stand out a bit more. Last season actually still had quite a few of these little great "throwaway" scenes, it was just that the rest of the episode was usually horrible, which made it easy to overlook the 2 or 3 minute scenes like this that were good.

I agree; creating brief, funny scenes has never been a problem for the show. It's the larger dramatic arcs (or lack thereof) where the show really stumbled last year.

That being said, the fact that Tolan realizes these problems makes me pretty hopeful.

Did anyone watch last night's episode "Juiced"?

Wow, what an unexpected, poignant ending.

Given how these shorts have been long on the laughs and short on the serious, it was a pretty jarring ending.

I'm not entirely certain I would go with "unexpected" necessarily. With Sean acting a bit "off" in regards to his interaction with the rest of the crew, I pegged it being a September 11th-related minisode the moment Jimmy showed up.

Good? Definitely. Unexpected or shocking? Hardly.

Yeah that was very unexpected. Once I saw Jimmy appear and interacting with the crew, then I knew it was some sort of flashback. I agree the newspaper was a poignant ending. Damn it was really short at roughly 3 minutes.

The spelling minisode was great. These minisodes have exactly what last season was missing, IMO: just the guys shooting the shit in the firehouse.

I have to agree the spelling episode was awesome! Some of the best and concise dialogue-driven material I have ever seen from the show.

I'm very optimistic that Rescue Me will be back to form in 2009.

This week's gets my vote for the worst of the minisodes. I liked the fact it was dialogue-free, but the plot was well-worn territory.

I liked the episode simply because of Callie Thorne. OMG, she looked so fucking hot in that blue dress..

I love that they are making Sheila this naughty little vixen.

Did you read my answer?.....because of Callie Thorne, who looked smoking hot in it. I didn't care about the actual non-dialogue thing.

I could watch 6 minutes of Callie Thorne and Andrea Roth any day.
