Grounded For Life? Really? Sure you aren't thinking of another show? Don't know about the rest, I never watched em.

I don't really like crude sitcoms, but I really did like Off Centre. I really wish all those episodes came out on DVD.

I've watched 5 episodes of Off Centre and totally love it

I am a huge Sean Mcguire fan. He was a child actor on Grange Hill and has always been very talented

I can't believe Off Centre got cancelled so quickly, oh well 30 episodes of fun

Re: Crude Sitcoms

"Breaking Bad, as the sequel to Malcolm in the Middle it's both tremendously dark and hilarious."

The League is one of my favorites on air, Workaholics is derivative as hell (basically a rip off of Always Sunny and The League amongst others) but is also enjoyable.

Childrens Hospital is tremendously stupid and yet enjoyable, at 12 minutes per episode it's just about the perfect length. Raising Hope is well liked and not really the family show it kind of sells itself to be.

If you're going for older UK shows, gotta put The Young Ones on the list, and you might throw in their follow-ups, Filthy Rich and Catflap and Bottom (although I think the latter two are less successful than The Young Ones).

I liked both Bored to Death and Easbound and Down. someone a few years ago recommended The Loop. I really liked that show.

Re: Crude Sitcoms

All in the family had a very simple set. Just 2 chairs and a couch. I always thought that was very crudely designed, but then again it was the 70s.

Re: Crude Sitcoms

Two And A Half Men is probably the crudest show CBS has ever aired. I'm talking the Sheen episodes here, as last season was tamer than it had been when Charlie was the focal point.

Re: Crude Sitcoms

30 Rock has some crude stuff, I remember when Liz Lemon's Dad Dick visits he says something like "It's not a Lemon party without ole' Dick"

Also, 2 Broke Girls has a lot of crude stuff.

The War at Home. It wasn't the most out there sitcom, but I liked the style and some of the situations were not what you'd usually see.

Re: Crude Sitcoms

I agree on 2.5 Men. Gone is the clever entendre of 70s sitcoms, with all of their playful references to sexuality. On 2.5 they just go right for whatever the dirty euphemism for jugular is. They'll just have Jon Cryer say "well I'm gonna go masturbate now." And have that be the joke.

Re: Crude Sitcoms

Which is why I never liked Two and a Half Men, it was just unimaginative "It's funny because we're saying something crude!" lameness.

Re: Crude Sitcoms

Well that's part of my gripe about 2.5 Men. It's like it was written by a 6th grader that just learned what all of these sexual terms are.

It's so good it was in the OP!

No love for Titus? What other show had an episode where the characters hold an intervention to get their dad to start drinking again?

Louie can also be very crude and very very funny, although it doesn't always go for laughs.

Re: Crude Sitcoms

Titus was fucking awesome. It's a shame that didn't last longer. Supposedly he's working on a pseudo sequel series.
