Commercial Voiceovers

I'm usually pretty good at identifying actors voices in cartoons and what-not. I'm always surprised and sometimes amazed at some good and not-so-good choices for advertisements, especially considering there is virtually nowhere you can look this stuff up.

Well, first I knew John Schneider* (Pa Kent - Smallville) did the "you can do it, we can help" home depot commercials (nice choice), but now they have (weird choice) Clancy Brown (Kelvin Inman - Lost).

I also noticed Will Arnett (GOB - Arrested Development) used to do T. Rowe Price voiceovers.

Anybody else notice interesting choices for voiceover people?

Doesn't Gene Hackman do the one for Lowes?

In Canada, Keifer Sutherland does all the Ford comemrcials.

Who the hell is Jonathan Schneiderman? Unless you are being sarcastic. It's just John Schneider.

Oh...hahahaaaaa......sorry, I work with a guy name Schneiderman, I must have unconsciously added that. The first name must have came from Jonathan Kent.

Most of the Lowe's commercials use Gene Hackman.

Keifer Sutherland I think does Bank of America. At least it sounds like him.

I totally recognize Richard Thomas's (John-Boy "The Waltons") voice on some car ads.

Clancy Brown is in the pantheon of VO Gods.

Antonio Banderas is the bee in the Nasonex commercials. It's good, but I always thought it was weird because the Bee sounds just like his character "Puss in Boots" from Shrek.

Doesn't Arnett also do commercials for a car brand? I think that's why he was pulled off voicing Kitt in the new Knight Rider mini. Of course, I still don't remember what car company it is, and when I first heard about it, I was surprised, as I didn't recognize his voice at all...

First one I thought of too!

A couple others:
Barry Pepper did the Nikon "Picturetown" commercials.
I think Jensen Ackles does the Army strong ads

Brown's been doing Home Depot ads for quite some time. I think they just rotate between him and "Schneiderman". He's also doing those Avis ads now too.

I think he did work for GM but since the new KITT is a Ford it became a conflict of interest.
