The thing I was getting at which Salty was getting at too is that you always have one or two people who come in and just say that the show is horrible anymore and hasn't been good "Since the first season!" To which I respond, watch something else then. There is a difference between criticism and whining.
The difference is they are responding to the thread. Regardless if you disagree with their post, it is not threadcrapping. Attacking the poster is threadcrapping.

Like I said, I am as sick of fanbois as you are continuing negative posters. They are different sides of the same coin. I don't jack the thread to attack them and tell them to go away, but I will tell them that I disagree or more often I just ignore them.

I assume he is taking them to use at home. Or in his cardboard box. Or wherever the hell he lives.

Critisizing specifics if fine. Critisizing individual episodes and scenes is fine and should be done. I definitely do it at times.

But when it is a generality, like "anything outside the office sucks", "it was in the office so it was good," or "Jim and Pam's romance is going to ruin the show", it is weak. Sure, not all of the settings outside the office are great. But many are. And not all of Jim/Pam's scenes are great, but many are. And their relationship isn't doing anything to the spirit of the show. They have always had relationships (Dwight/Angela, Pam/Roy). This one just happens to not be dysfunctional like the rest. And it is one of the many side-stories of the show, not the focus.

Re-watched the show again last night, when Kevin is breaking down the 5 families, the air conditioning place has a 1-800 number listed on the bottom, so I called it. There's like a 30 second recording about air conditioning, the guy basically rambles on and then he transfers you to an operator, you sit on hold for another 30 seconds then some woman comes on saying thank you for your call.

Another thing I noticed is creed and the drunk redhead both had solitaire up on their monitors.

Creed lives in the office half the week, that was established in either season 2 or 3. He lives in Canada the other half of the week.

When did you call?

I called around 2 or 3 in the morning after the episode aired, and it was still the recording for Dwight's phone regarding the sex-pervert from the Sexual Harassment episode.

Yes, and there's some hilarious deleted scene from Season 2 (I think) in which Creed talks about sleeping under his desk at the office. (It's a great scene and a total mystery why it was deleted.)

That was actually one of my favorite moments. I didn't think of it as an "Awww!" moment, but as one of those minor victories that everyone can identify with and enjoy in spite of all the crap and politics that people put up with during the remaining 90% of the work week.

That shoe tie moment from Jim with Pam might've been the single most creative and brilliant moment of this show. That had me in absolute stitches.

It really was perfectly set up. He told her he was going to propose. We saw that he had the ring, and then he's on his knee. Hilarious.

Are you watching the same show as me?

Season 1/2: Jim pines after Pam (S1: Ross pines after Rachel)
Season 3: Pam pines after Jim (S2:Rachel pines after Ross)
Season 4: Jim & Pam hook up (S3: Ross & Rachel hook up)
Season 5: ??? (S4: Ross & Rachel split)

Pretty fuckin' identical if you ask me. Personally they are cute as a couple but they just don't bring as many laughs together. When was the last time they played a prank on Dwigt?

^ I didn't even notice that.

I think because Pam and Jim are a lot less dramatic it seems that they aren't going the Ross/Rachel route. For The Office, all those above events happened pretty subtly. We didn't even see Pam and Jim get together on screen, it happened in the off season. In the last episode Jim asked Pam to move in with him. If that had happened on Friends it would have been a much bigger deal. With The Office, the focus was always on the comedy and not the drama with what will happen with Pam and Jim. That's what I see at least.

Which is why I don't think they'll break up and why I don't think we'll see them have any on screen issues. I am expecting Jim to ask Pam to marry him by seasons end and I imagine that will also happen very undramatically as well.

I guess you could say they're like Ross and Rachel, but just not gay.

Doesn't sound as funny when I describe it. Hmmm.

I think it was a time issue with NBC. Mine cut off too, but I caught it last night because it was at the beginning of Scrubs.

Your timeline for Friends is a bit off (Ross & Rachel hooked up in S2, split in S3), but you're right. Guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that The Office doesn't follow the exact same route.
